Personally, I work as a heavy fabrication engineer. I get sweaty and dirty everyday. The majority of people in my industry leave school to get trained.

Wait, DISCLAIMER: I'm not by any means trying to infer anything about anyone's intelligence. Ok?

I however, finished high school. Went to uni and did a degree with a split major in philosophy and psychology. When I did that, I worked for a bit and went back to school. Did a degree in visual arts and applied design. (sculpture major)

Which is (kinda) how I fell into my current industry, in which I am also highly qualified.

People always react like;

"What the fuck!?!?! YOU have (a) degree(s)!?!?!? What the fuck are you doning HERE?!?!?"

What weirds people out about you?

That once my dad taught me to spell my first name, Michael, I figured out the rest of the alphabet by myself when I was about one week from turning three years old.

That, at the age of two, I boarded a plane with my parents after a long delay and said, "This will be the aeroplane, I expect."

Nor do they often believe I am related to who I say I am related to.

I can't speak or write Chinese (Cantonese) what so ever (I'm British born Chinese in RL). Ok granted I can speak a bit (but can't form proper sentences) and understand what other are saying in Chinese for half of the time.
The reason why I can't speak or write was that my parent didn't sent me to this Chinese speaking school during at that time. I wouldn't mind try to know it sometime in the future but not now.

The way I am online is the me you would experience in real life.
I don't change because the people i'm talking to are hidden behind a monitor full of pixels, rather I treat them all as if I was standing in front of them.

I can relate to that last part. My ancestor, Alexander, was the colonial surgeon where I grew up. He ran the mental institution, which is now our state's botanical gardens. Also, my middle name is Stewart, as has been every male born in the line for centuries... cos we're the bastard sons of the Stewart kings of Scotland.

I say that's cool, and that's what counts to me.

Eh, some people try to deny certain things about me. Such as being nonsexual.
That doesn't last long, I just tell them how it is, and show them the definition. Hey! It matches up! Hmmm `,:/
Can't think of anything that any person does not believe. No one has spoken out, that I remember, anyway.

Hm, the only instance I can think of where people honestly didn't believe something about me was when I told my friends I probably had ADD and was going through the process of finding out exactly how severe it was.

They just dismissed it and told me that there's no way I have it and that I should stop blaming my difficulties on other things than myself.

I had great friends. 8D

I am generally quiet and people have no idea what to expect from me. So depending on the person, where they met me, and my mood at the time there are all sorts of things about me that might weird people out.

That I scored 180 on a dart board just because my friends were in the next room and didn't see it happen. After I got all 3 darts in the triple 20 I said "Holy shit guys I just scored 180" they came out and looked and then said "bullshit, you just stuck them in"... Bastards.

Nobody believes that I actually do what I do for a living when I first tell them, or that I hold down jobs from four different bosses, and they especially don't believe that I get given a large chunk of my personal music collection by the actual artists unless I physically take them to my place and show them the stuff with the signatures and "thanks for everything" platitudes written on it. And when they are finally convinced that what I do for a living is real, then they can't believe that I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. And once I convince then of that, then they won't believe that I really don't like the straight-edge scene whatsoever and I don't get along with any of those people professionally or personally.

Nobody ever believes that, as a roofer, I'm neither a criminal, nor am I Hispanic, although the latter is apparently a misconception that's only common in parts of the US where the migrant labour pool has a large percentage of Mexican immigrants.

The criminal thing, though; I'm seriously one of a relatively small percentage of roofers that I know that can get a complete DoD clearance without having to get a work waiver, which means that I can (theoretically) get immediate authorization to work on RCAF structures, in the event of a maintenance call.

When I was four, I scribbled all over a piece of paper. Another kid wandered up to me (this was in pre-school) and insulted my scribbles. I informed him that it wasn't mere scribbling, but "a succession of lines and curves". No one ever believes that story.

Lol, now that I think of it just about every "contractor" I have met has done time.

I'm one of the hugest assholes I know, yet even while being a complete prick, I will be referred to as "a nice guy" or "sweetheart." Either people just don't understand me or maybe they understand me all too well. Either way, can't seem to win for losing.

People tend to doubt a lot of what I say about myself- perhaps I'm not very trustworthy?

But for some of the weirder ones- let's see. I made my first pun before I was three years old, according to my mother. I'm a trained ballerina, even if I quit a few years ago. And, finally, one of the stranger things that no one believes about me- I have two types of heterochromia, complete and central. I never get why no one believes that, but they don't. Whenever I point it out to anyone, they have the incessant need to go "Really? REALLY? -stares at eyes- YOU DO! THAT'S AWESOME!"
