SECONDS THIS!!!

I have never really played any of the other Star Wars games but KotOR 1&2. HK is right we need a 3 and it needs to be by Bioware.

Release fucking Battlefront 3 and then try and make something completely different.
Take control of a Wookie army and blow shit up.
Portray the unseen stories: the engineers working for the rebels, the rebel soldier who got shot five minutes in

And of course Holiday Special: The Game.

Well, not sucking would be a good start.

Seriously, one good game for every ten you put out is not a good ratio, guys.

I agree with those who have implied that Kyle Katarn should be reintroduced. I'd even go so far as to say I'd like a re-release of the original Dark Forces with updated graphics and whatnot. I wonder what Dark Forces: Source would be like...

Make a new Jedi Knight game! Academy was so friggin' awesome.

Or Battlefront!

It's not that hard, and while I'm not KoTOR fan myself (having not played them) I bet that would make a lot of people happy. So stop with this Force Unleashed crap.

ENDING THE BLOODY STORY AND START MAKING A NEW ONE! Seriously, they've created a good story, a little bit bad in the first half but the second portions (the original films) still manage to make up for that. My wish is for Lucas to just start over. None of this "it belongs 12 years after movie 3.2 and ends 5 years before season 5 episode 7 of the television series" bull. Start over, possibly go into the same universe, but from a completely different perspective, and show absolutely NONE of the previously mentioned characters. I know this portion will be especially difficult for you Lucas, but also hire people who's sole purpose is to EDIT YOUR BLOODY SCRIPTS! As Harrison Ford once said to you "George, you can type this shit, but you sure as hell can't say it." You are not a "good writer". Your an exceptional salesman and moneymaker, but your writing is not as good as you think it is. You know all your greatest hits? They were good because of time, money, and technology constraints, along with those pestering little people who payed you to make the film but didn't allow you to fully inundate it with all your "little details". Ask any good writer and none will tell you that you should, by any means, try to make your script without consulting a second opinion or making only one draft. If he learns all of these things, then maybe I can give him a second chance.

KOTOR 2 was not an "abomination". It was an incredibly original take on the Star Wars mythos, and had one of the all time great gaming characters in the form of Kreia.

OT. We need a Republic Commando 2.

Well, Battlefront 3 was canned... If KotOR 3 was to be released it wouldn't be for a long while... I doubt we'll see another Rogue Squadron... I don't think Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars will entice me like the first one....

However, I heard they were doing HD remakes of the Super Star Wars trilogy. So that could be it.

Get Bioware top make KOTOR 3 but with Obsidian in charge of the story and game design. Obsidian do story, characters and quests (or RPG aspects in general) better, but Bioware know how to finish a fucking game. Then have it all published by Atari or someone who won't do DLC with it. Otherwise I'mma have to smack a *****

I dunno... maybe BE A GAME ABOUT BLOODY STAR WARS?

KOTOR I liked, because it let you be a Jedi/Sith and do those sweet ass lightsabering moves.

Jedi Knight was okay, the story was pretty bang on for what I'd expect from out of Star Wars.

Battlefront was decent, but it felt like just another multiplayer Battlefield-esque reskin.

Faves: X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Rebel Assault. That put the WAR in Star Wars. I admit, I'm partial to joystick jockeying. All this Force stuff is fine, but I was one of the guys that went "WTF? How the hell is the ability to destroy a planet insignificant next to the power of the Force? Srsly?"

Somebody put me back in the cockpit of an X-wing already. Actually, I don't like X-wings, too cliche.

Y-wing, old skool, all the way.

Another jedi knight game where you get to play as kyle katarn.

Another Kotor.

Another space sim game like X-wing vs Tie fighter.

Republic Commando was really good. I wouldn't mind seeing a game in the same vein as this.

Holy shit there is so much they could do but all they give us force unleashed 2 and a multiplayer game no one really wanted (The old Republic). I'll make do with the classics for now.

For the past few years essentially all the star wars games have been bad to average. I am looking forward to the old republic as Kotor is one of my Favorite games.

So what do you fellow escapists think needs to be done?

Personally as is the general all we need is a true battlefront 3 and i will be happy for the next while
I think it's one of those things where the Star Wars liscence does not guarantee quality, you need good writers/designers behind it. Both Bioware and Obsidian were pretty good teams in their own ways (despite Obsidian's problem with bug hunting). Most of the teams doing Star Wars games wind up not impressing me much for whatever reason. I haven't thought "OMG so and so developer is making a Star Wars game, they can really do well with the liscence".

What's more the bar for the universe has gotten pretty high. Simply letting someone swing a lightsaber, or fly a fighter isn't that big a deal any more in of itself, and what's more even with new graphics you've seen games like the old "X-Wing" and "Tie Fighter" games that nailed the gameplay so perfectly that unless you can make a game just as responsive, or somehow improve on those controls and handling, real fans are going to be pretty disappointed.

The upcoming Old Republic game is something I'm looking forward to, as much because of who is doing it, as because of the liscence. If someone told me that say Funcom was doing a Star Wars MMORPG I wouldn't be anywhere near as excited, nor have the same faith that they would be able to do something amazing with the property.

My only real problem with Old Republic has mostly been some of the game design desicians. It seems like the developers seriously favor the Sith side, and have been putting far more effort into them design wise, and it shows in how cool they are making them out to be. Going by what I've seen before, it appears that the game is heading for the same problems that hit WoW and Warhammer Online with game imbalance/favoritism towards the "evil" side of the spectrum. I imagine that as Penny Arcade referred to rolling Alliance as one of the biggest jips in gaming, we're probably going to see similar comments from outside observers (players will always laugh about such things and call complainers nubs even if they are right) sometime after Old Republic launches... I just get that vibe.

Still, we'll see what happens.

I think in the end George Lucas needs to be a bit pickier about who gets the liscence. Put some thought into product quality as opposed to how much someone is going to pay for the liscencing fees. Star Wars always had a lot of tacky junk attached to it (on a lot of levels) but I think it's never too late to start some quality control, especially when it comes to video games.

More Flight-sims please. Seriously good space combat sims seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur. A X-wing (or even better, Tie Fighter) reboot is exactly what is needed now. Something like a star wars version of Freespace, with a good physics engine and a story told through gameplay instead of cutscenes, would be awesome.

This. And no, that Old Republic MMO doesn't count.

Waiting a few years...

The creating Battlefront 3, so all the fans hearts melt with awesome.

The creating Republic Commando 2 so the fans hearts melt yet again, and to get people talking and loving Lucas Arts again.

Then releasing a new game which no other Star wars game has done before, like Force Unleashed did. Like maybe fully customizable character? Jedi or soldier, or both...making Jedi's light-sabres actual Light-sabres and not glowing swords (You know, where they actually cut through flesh?). Maybe starting in a time we don't know of? Like after episode 6? The hugely unexplored area where they don't fuck with the cannon?

Then i think fans will be happy =D
