I call it modern warefare 2. Why people have to drag it in line with CoD is still a mystery to me. Especially since what they did to the PC community despite us making them. Its not CoD 6 to me. Its a farce/ Elitist rant.

Though when joking I call it Modern Whorefare 2

I've always been partial to calling it "Mewtwo". It tends to make its players angry, because they're far too cool for Pokemon.

Call Of Duty. Because No one, and I mean no one attempts to usurp the acronym of MechWarrior 2.

I mean, what's next? COD:TGWTG? (That Game With The Guns), COD:MARIO? (Modern Armed Recon In Operation) COD:STAR WARS (Special Tactics Assault/Recon Weapons Assisted Remote Specialist?)

Modern warfare two. Why call it anything else? You're not clever, or funny.

COD4 had a better campaign and you can't have played many campaigns... The co-op was average. Pitch a tent and roast some marshmallows, this shit's a campsite -.-

Modern Warfare 2, or occasionally Mewtwo. I don't hate it that much. The campaign was fun, if short. The amount of hate it gets is a little really exaggerated I think, because it was so popular.

Modern Warfare 2, mainly because I don't care enough to make a "witty" name for it.

Yeah, I don't know how to respond to that.

Oh, wait, I can.

Modern Warfare 2 had the best campaign so far and I would know, playing CoD from 2003, not missing a single installment except the portable games and Big Red One. The coop was the most fun I've had gaming in 2009-10 BY FAR.

I have played quite a lot of single player campaigns in modern FPS games. I'm not a multiplayer guy, really. I can say certainly - Bad Company has nothing on Modern Warfare 2. Reach has nothing on Modern Warfare 2. Killzone has nothing on Modern Warfare 2. And, yes, CoD 4 has nothing on Modern Warfare 2. All in terms of singleplayer, of course. Those are the major players of today's FPS market. Excluding Half-Life, of course, I haven't gotten far enough in that one yet to form an adequate opinion.

MechWarrior 2, because I've never actually owned any of the 'modern warfare' games whereas MechWarrior 2 was one of the best games I've ever played and was highly influential to both me and my gaming tastes as well as the gaming industry as a whole.

Just sayin...
Oh look, I've been ninja'd. MW2 has always translated as MechWarrior 2 for me, and the repurposing of it for Modern Warfare 2 has always made me lag behind in gaming conversations.

Names I have for MW2:
-The Land of Broken Perks
-Biological Warfare 2
-The WTF Game
-Danger Power
-Modern Whorefare 2

Seriously, Stopping Power and Danger Close are just bullshit and are the main reason that I can no longer play more than one game without being to angry at everyone to keep playing.

Look at all the Grenade Launchers! And look, the opposing team is invisible to killstreaks! THIS GAME IS SO REALISTIC!!!! Feh. I'll go back to Reach, where at least the unrealism adds to the game.
How can every perk in a game be broken? And you pretty much did list the majority of popular second-tier perks. If they're all so broken, wouldn't that sorta make them all... BALANCED? Would you prefer none of the perks did anything significant?

90% of the complaints I've ever heard about MW2's multiplayer boil down to the person complaining being either unable or unwilling to adapt. I'm not saying someone should be forced to adapt to a game... if you only enjoy playing one particular playstyle with one set of perks then that's your perogative. That's really more of a limitation of the player than of the game though. The primary complaint that gets a pass is anything directed at the noob tube, because there's not much defense against it.

As a sidenote, I thought MW2 did an overall great job (noobtube withstanding) of balancing weapons. Is there an overpowered assault rifle in the game? You'd have to tell me what it is, cause I haven't found it yet.

I consider anything that ups base weapon damage in a multiplayer game broken. Weapons in MW2 do enough damage already. We do not need grenade launchers with more power or bullets that do more damage. Unnecessary perks are unnecessary. My argument is not about the weapons (except grenade launchers) but the perks. You should not be able to combine perks in such a way that no killstreak can find you. Smart? Yes. Broken? Definitely.

I would say that MW2 had balanced weapons if I could find someone that didn't use Stopping Power on everything. And I must say: Sniper rifles are TOO WEAK.

I would be able to see your point more easily if you didn't claim that both stopping power and cold-blooded are broken. Granted, I think they're the two most powerful perks in the game, but you can only choose one of them. And it's odd hearing someone argue that cold-blooded is overpowered, since one of the biggest beefs people seem to have with the game is that killstreaks are overpowered.

I don't really see why they took Juggernaut out of the series though. It seems like a good perk for people like yourself who don't think a perk should be able to raise base damage. I always found it ridiculous that people who used it were considered "noobs" since it didn't do anything but offset stopping power.

Sniper rifles didn't seem too weak to me, and that's coming from someone who has never quickscoped once. I was still one shotting people to the chest with the WA2000 and cold-blooded. Granted that's much harder to do on a moving target, but I mostly countersniped. I would agree that the traditional sniping playstyle in general is somewhat weak though, primarily cause you never really have more than 10-15 seconds before Mr. McTwitchy lightweight marathoner flanks you.

A highly popular game, well liked by children and young adults. Incredible marketing and fan following. It was, whether you like it or not, a huge success.

Personally I do not play it, but the sheer amount of money this title managed to make makes my mouth water. For real.
