With how often I use it,Doom the Boardgame may classify as something I bought for the collection value.

I collect anime...
I started midway through summer and easily have over 700$ worth by now...
...which is a lot considering I'm a cashier and only spend 20% of my paychecks (the rest is for school)
Also: Although it cost me nothing, I collect shiny Pokemon...
I recently hatched my 7th shiny Pokemon using the Masuda Method...
...and it only took 1 518 failed attempts!
...and over 10 680 000 steps...

But I do collect comic books and CDs. I don't count games because I often trade them in.
I've been collecting DC Comics in trade for a few years and am now collecting 14 of the New 52 every month.
My CD collection is at about 150 and I usually get a new CD every week.

Rare copies of CDs. My latest addition is a 500-print EP from a band called Alcest. It only has one song on it I don't own, but it's artwork is amazing and it's just really nice to have.
Bottle caps and pint glasses. The caps I just keep in a drawer. There's probably about 1000 in there and I only really add to them now if they're unique ones.
As for pint glasses, they live in the kitchen cupboard with the rest of the glasses. There are 10 years' worth of beer festival pint & half pint glasses in there with some random promotional or otherwise unique ones.

I once bough AC2 just for the Ezio statue if that counts.
Other than that I recently had a lot of problems because my comics collection got too big for its shelf due to me getting the thicker hardcover version of Blackest Night. Similar for my DVD shelf after I acquired BSG season 4.

Movie ticket stubs. I started when I was only about nine years old; as such, I've got stubs from a lot of horrible, decade-old movies that I watched because I was too young and stupid to know how bad they were.
But it's all good; I have mementos from good movies, too.

- A nice medieval chest.
- A dragon, self painted, statuette.
- A decorative dagger.
I also collect 40k, funnily enough, although I prefer Chaos Space Marines...
Man, I am actually sick of Loyalist Space Marines getting all the glory. Especially Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Blood Ravens.
