I switch to an easier mode that I know I can dominate in. If I still don't do well, then I turn off the console and do something else.

I try and try over again as I get angrier and angrier, until I'm ready to blow, at which point I usually turn off the system and go do something else. If I'm trying to calm down, I usually just listen to some music for a while, that seems to do the trick.

I throw my controller against a wall, swear loudly, cry, and basically this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc].

If I'm in a bad mood: RAGE QUIT!
If I'm in a fooly mood or light hearted: Mock my own uselessness, then shoot at my team members.

I laugh, actually.
If I've been playing so bad that I've been totally owned, I just can't help laughing.

I was kicked off a L4D for being a "n00b". I stared at the screen, "Kicked: You have been voted off by your teammates" for at least 5-10 minutes.

Shut it down for awhile. Find some chocolate. Go call or visit a friend and do something fun irl. I take it as a sign that my reflexes are slowing or that I may be pushing for a headache. Getting outside changes the distances you are looking at to escape headache and talking to someone can help you figure out the puzzle or strategy you are having trouble with in the game.

And chocolate is always good!

Getting in a little physical work, whether in the yard, or wandering a store with a friend tends to help you feel more relaxed and prepared for the next go-round with a game. :)

(On a fighting game, when time is gone and health was low. This happened yesterday on SFIV.)

Shitty Overdramatic announcer: "Times up."
Me: "Thank god it's over that trail was hard-WHATTHEFUCK! Why does he win?!? I have more health than him! Oh thats it El Fuerte! Your dead."

(I then went to training mode and did EVERY Character's Ultra Combo on him even his own one."
i'm a vega user so the only person i really have trouble with is ..... FUCKING BLANKA!!! THAT CHEAP GREEN ****!!!! DIEEEEEE!!!!!.... **ahem** .... and maybe zangief users that think L1 is the only button on the controller ... but they usually get figured out and picked off ... i hate that move ... those damn players do it so much they must hear "ARRREUHHHHH!!" in their bloody sleep

I grin at the screen, mock the opponent by saying how I'd never stand a chance the next round and then play seriously. I usually just play for fun and don't care that much about winning or who is better. However, when a challenge appears, I'll gladly accept it.

The only downside to this is that with online gaming there aren't rematches that often. At least not on consoles, since most games like to mix you into different groups of people.
I wish they'd make more games have server lists like PC gaming has. For all it's boasting about community, they seem to be forgetting one main thing that internet communities have used for gaming.

Sorry for the off-topic rant there.

Depends. If they're actually better than me I wake up from the dream that it obviously is :)D) but if they're fags who got butthurt and went pyro after I had backstabbed them eighty bajillion times I'll just change class for a little while.
How does changing class make them fags or indicate they got butt hurt? Seems like mass team class changing makes your team's job easier (pyros may be lethal but lets face it - unless you ambush well you aren't going to stop a solid team of soldiers!)
Try playing spy, even with the cloak and dagger, when half the enemy team are running around flaming each and every damn corner as pyro. That comes under the heading of "Omgfag" for me.

You misunderstand the omen then. Spies are not the sort of class that gets all the glory. They aren't the prime flag cappers, they rarely are involved in the epic shoot outs - instead they make the defender's job a waking hell from which there is no escape. How do you know if you're doing your job properly you ask?

If the snipers on the opposing team have given up and changed classes to soldiers, you've done something right. If engineers have either quit the class for the round or stare intently and attack everything that moves you're doing your job right. If the opposing heavies sit with their backs in a corner and frantically spray at shadows and teammates then you've done your job right. And if the enemy pyro's have resorted to spraying fire and fury into every corner of the building then your job is done for the moment.

These people are responding to a good spy the only way they can - they trust no one and are desperately trying to avoid being another notch on the grip of the knife. When this happens, the best thing you can do is switch classes for a bit - the defense will still be in shambles for awhile before people sort of what's going on, and in the meantime you've got a whole team of pyro's focusing on finding an imaginary spy instead of popping out of corners themselves to hose you down with fire.

Which is why in my original post I said "Change to another class for a while". That is kind of funny to see when you move in as heavy and mince them all while they're still pyro but I really enjoy playing spy and it annoys me when I can't do so because the enemy team have resorted to the cheapest possible method of finding me.

Oh and I dont just mean the enemy pyros. I mean half a dozen people switching to pyro and zerging all over their own base.

Just played the last part of Half Life 2, so now I feel quite empowered, what with the tearing moniters out of walls with the push of a button, then another one hurling it at your hapless foes.
