I work in the phone support of an IT-department. The job isn't rewarding in any way other than the pay and that I've really improved my Heroes of Might and Magic 3 game over the last few days. People who are on vacation don't usually call here. I only keep the job to have an income while I'm waiting to go to college next year.

I'm a corporate lawyer with one of the biggest (and arguably best) law firms in the UK and I specialise in intellectual property, litigation and banking & securities law. Sounds like a boring job on paper, but in reality it's fascinating and the pay and conditions are top notch. The only downside is that the hours can be hell.

Stay in school for government youth allowance >_<

I had a casual job for about a year and a half before I abruptly quit a little over a year ago by giving my mother a letter to drop in on her way somewhere. I wish I'd quit properly and gotten a reference. Now I'm afraid to apply for jobs at other places because I don't know whether or not to list my old work place on my resume. I made one anyway, and handed it in at the grocery store near me, but they didn't reply.

Jack-of-all-trades in a supermarket, and I hate it with a passion. It's mindboggingly dull and one of my supervisors decided I'm the best person to take her frustrations out on. Be it by nagging about all the shit that's going on in the store or just blaming me for all kinds of things and acting like a *****.

And now we have another reason to be vewy vewy quiet about piracy next to the mods.

My actual job title is Associate Vice President in charge of Information Technology. A bit over blown if you ask me. I work for a credit union. Basically, I'm in charge of the computer systems. Pays well for the city I live in. Would probably make more in a larger city but I'm just not a big fan of large cities. There's too many people and they would all just annoy me to no end. I like it well enough but since I'm in charge of every aspect of the systems, it can get a bit overwhelming. Never get tired of dumbass tech support calls though. :p

Nag on my parents.

A lot.

If there was a competition in the Olympics for nagging, I would not be able to pass the try-outs. I WOULD BE CLOSE THOUGH!
Whereas, I'd get through and win the damn gold.

I work as an editor for an entertainment website. I'm also currently trying to apply for a second job. No luck with that so far.

Haha... Yes actually. Subway Sandwich Artists mostly deal with customers and prep the veggies and such for the day. When you begin to work there, you are obligated to take a test on how the sandwiches are properly made. Hence we were given the title "Sandwich Artist".

Managers such as myself mostly bake bread and make sure inventory and such are accurate. We aren't given such a fancy title.

I'm an editor at my university's student newspaper; we're paid pretty well since our paper is very healthy financially and it's the greatest job I ever have or ever will have. I don't have to worry about normal job pressures like "hours" or "a boss" (I'm in an position that is elected once every four months, giving me a much more satisfying sense of accountability than needing to please one person who may or may not be a complete idiot), and I get to produce a product that is definitively mine, and which I can take pride in. It's great.

I also supplement my income with scholarships.

I'm studying. Hurray for living in a country where the government pays me for studying. I am taking an intensive History course to raise it a level, opening up for more educational options. Turns out they switched history out for something resembling philosophy or philosophy history, which is awesome because I love philosophy. Only sad part is that the course is only about four weeks long.

Software engineer, forced daily to slave labour over code in many different languages for long hours. Not my idea of fun.

In this nice summer period between college years I work as a waiter at a family friendly restaurant. Even thought the people in my town are enormous dicks the tips are excellent (half the time), so I could be doing worse. I'm hoping to keep working as a waiter at a nicer place in the fall so I won't have to deal with aggravating children (involuntary eye twitch).

But it's fun and I love dogs, so it works out quite nicely since I get to interact with them 8 hours a day. And I get paid for playing with dogs, and who wouldn't love that? :D
I Envy you. And yes, I love it! I'd be going to work with positive and warm feelings!

OT:

Unlike my current job, which is total suck! I work at a grocery store. Sometimes fun, mostly 'meh'.
