Just a disclaimer: I am by no means racist, or small minded, but there are WAY to many people who can't speak a word of english where I live. I can tolerate someone who may be new to the country and has yet to pick up on it. However, there are some who have been living here for over 10 years who still can't even speak a full sentence. It makes it hard to communicate, especially on a job site where such communication is important.

Hate: no krispy kreams here in Massachusetts

Love: everything else.
I agree wholeheartedly. Id also add that Marijuana will not be legalised anytime in the near future (even medically)
I don't know, it could happen.
Also there is ONE krispy kream in all of Massachusetts, or so says google.

I live in Tennessee.

If you can't guess, it's full of redneck idiots, bigotry, racism, sexism, religious zealots and some of the dumbest and most intolerant people you'll ever meet.

It's kinda pretty down here though.
And... what part of Tennessee do you live in? I love it. It's the only place in the US that I don't completely hate that I've been to.

Hey! I live in Georgia! How do fellow southerner?

OT: Like: Not much crime, know a lot of people, and a mall only 5 mins. away.

Hate: People are dicks (despite the low crime!), and if you're not careful, you'll end up in a conversation about why you're going to hell. (It's gotten to the point where I don't answer the door anymore!)

Hate: the weather. Summers are ok. But winters are horrible. Were a really northern city (as major population centers go) so our winters are horrible. It reached -50 celcius last winter. Granted that was unusual. But winters are terrible hear.

We have one of the worst crime rates in Canada

There are one or two native reserves right near the city (one about 20 minutes from me) and they are in horrible shape. I don't want to stereotype. Buri went to the high school nearest one and it seems like 90% of the kids there have no future out of drugs and crime. And what makes it worse is they act like it's our (the "white peoples") fAult. Don't get me wrong. I know history. But I seriously doubt more handouts are gonna change anything

Love: we have everything here. I barely, fever. Find myself saying "I wish we had a __________ store (unless it's some weirdly specific thing. But I don't go for that stuff)

Things I like about Reno: The weather. Cheap tuition at the University of Nevada, where I go to school.

Things I don't like about Reno: Less culture than a cup of yogurt, people are either meth-addled trailer trash or touchy, easily-offended, whiny California transplants who got priced out of their old home state or otherwise moved here because they fail at life. 15% unemployment, including 10% unemployment for college graduates (national average for college grads, according to today's Wall Street Journal, is 5.4%.) Too many Boston sports haters---lots of Lakers fans and Raiders fans who hate the Celtics and Patriots, respectively. And this state might actually elect Tea Party psycho zealot Sharron Angle to the US Senate.

I'm moving home to Boston on June 1, 2012. I have the date circled on the calendar. I just have to finish my education first.

I live in whitey mc white white white... white town, did i mention it's really white? I don't mind this, however there is nothing to do here. And everyone i live near is either 35+ or 10- where i'm 19. That's the bad. Good is that i know i can walk around at midnight drunk off my ass and not be arrested... cause my neighborhood is so damn white. The only non white person on the block is a mexican/black mix who is also gay.

Hate: HUGE amount of fat people who are as nice and friendly as the sun is cold. No culture whatsoever out of Boston. Way too hot summers, way too chilly winters.

Love: The Cape Cod Canal, Boston...that's basically it...

Love:
No sales tax.
Almost all of my family lives around here.

Hate:
Out of touch with most of the people I know from around here (which is partly my fault, but that's besides the point.)
Almost all of my family lives around here. >.>

Love: Transportation and almost everything else.
Hate: having to go to school on the upper east side, amongst a festering breeding ground of stuck up social-elites who have a silver spoon so fr up their asses that they're tasting metal.
Most of them at least.

Hate:
It's always hot and smells like swamp. Everything and everyone is covered in a greasy sheen. The average IQ is below 100 and it shows. There's too much light pollution to see the stars at night, and too much noise pollution to think.

Love:
Well, I'm moving soon. I love the fact that I'll never have to live here again.

Hate: pretty much everything. I too, live in a small Texas town, or a "village" as the counsel demands we still call it. Its a small country town and just about every general southern stereotype you can think of is true.

Love: the years of isolation has lead to some truly amazing discoveries about myself and some astounding glimpses into the world of human psychology.

I can't quite tell if the price is worth the reward, but what it is that I have found on my journey has been immensely liberating.

Where I live is very diverse. You can do just about anything you would want to: head into the city, visit the downtown districts for more of a 1950's Americana feel, head to the beach, visit to an amusement park, or even spend a quiet afternoon in the countryside. You definitely get to experience a variety of locales.

On the downside, it's normally pretty hot. The later months (October through December) are absolutely perfect when it comes to temperature, but on average, our days every other month can be sweltering.

I love the fact that the weather is always good, but I hate the fact that the weather NEVER changes.

Rain would be nice every once in a while.
