What do you hate and love most about where you live?

Love my city just don't love the people

Love:
Small quiet village
no neighbors
good schools

Hate:
no supermarkets nearby
no public transportation
everyone knows everyone and majority are conformist
the only nearby city (40 mins away) is Flint, one of the worst cities in America

I live in Glasgow. I love the city centre, the fact that I grew up here, the amazing gig venues, the great alt club scene (Classic Grand FTW), love all my friends here, and lots more.

The only things I really hate are the neds (replace with chav / mutant / whatever), and the shit weather.

Alabama

Love: The area itself, mountains and hills covered with forest and lots of streams, lakes and rivers(well, only one big river really). Also I love that we have what is basically a nerd high school, which saved me from going to one of the most....was going to try to say something different but well, getto schools in the city. I guess NASA being here is pretty cool too.

Hate: Well it's Alabama so there are plenty of rednecks around, but my city is pretty diverse so I they're mainly toward the more rural areas. Seriously, if I drive 15 minutes outside the city I start to see way more pick-ups, rebel flags, and hear... banjo music(yet I have I desire to learn the banjo). Also I find it a little uncomfortable that our economy is driven by war, what with the military base and weapons R&D.
