Pretty much every other gamer. Roughly 80% of them are annoying kids, pricks, both, or worse.

That violent behavior is generally the only way to proceed. I want to see a game that's basically a great big diplomacy fight.

I didnt know it was bad...is it the kind of thing where they dont know if they will have a job after the game is done? because that would probably be the worst thing ever
Sometimes the developer will just treat their employees really badly, but you can tell something's wrong in an industry when people have to work 100-hour weeks. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/111340-IGDA-Investigating-L-A-Noire-Dev

And then there's the whole Infinity Ward vs. Activision thing. Money kills this industry yet sustains it at the same time..

Games are expensive.

AND I'M POOR. D:

... that's about it. Oh, well, maybe when good games lack replayability unless you can add in new contents(Fallout 3 for example, fucking fantastic game, but I know about every crease in the world by now, and I have all the expansions).

I hate how all the fps games have basically blended together and dish out the same thing, a poor campaign and de javu multiplayer. Let's face it, the creative single player experience is slowly dying.
I actually disagree, theres always has been a demand for quality single player, you think EVERY gamer is totally ok with "5 hour campaign..onto the multiplayer" I dont think so, just look at homefront

I imagine that would have alot to do with strict deadlines/ release dates (mabye part of the problem for DA2....well mabye)

but yeah, If I were working in an industry where I would be sure I would still have a job after the project was over...that woulsnt be very nice

As a PC gamer, the recent explosion of DRMs and always online bull. It's getting really old.
unfortunatley I dont see it slowing down...only getting worse, I mean I dont mind "online" activation then it leaves me the fuck alone...but "always" online (while there hanvt been many cases of that) I feel might become a "thing"

and who do we blame? the pirates or DRM? its just a vicious circle with no clear answer in sight

I dislike how if I like something like Dragon Age 2 and point out all the technical flaws it fixed coming from DAO, I'm considered tasteless casual trash.

I also dislike how gaming nowadays is "YOU ARE THE PLAYER CHARACTER." It feels like such a cheap cop-out from making believable, non-GaryStu characters that aren't just cameras with mannequins attached to the bottom.

......seaquels.....BAM

haha no I'm actually kidding, some of my favorite games are seaquels (even "the man" himself likes games that are seaquels)

nah the ONLY problem with seawuels is when they dont know when to stop...so then they reboot and EVERYONES happy

but yeah hating a game "just" because its a seaquel is beyong stupid...like "hipster" level stupid

like "ohh portal 2 was OK but quite frankly inferior to the original...it was too long and not "perfect" like the original one".....to that I say go play your bloody indie games

this is a grey area...and there are exception to this rule I came up with

I say EATHER make the charachter a decent charachter (as in go all out with personality) OR give us some room to work with so that we CAN feel like the PC

good example: Fallout 3, saints row 2, mass effect

BAD examples: Brink, Dead space (I liked issac clark anway though) oblivion (before I get flamed, its because you have NOTHING to work with, you can be what ever you want but the game isnt going to acknolage it)

my reasoning is we simply arnt all white males

then again I do latch onto charachter that are voiced quite easyly

The days that I just fail at everything completely.

Nothing makes me rage more than one of those days that just everything fails. That I can't hit the broad side of a barn when sniping in TF2, when every time I join a server in BF:BC2 I get on the team that's loosing horribly, when I just get to the grindy boring bit of an RPG, etc etc.

It's worse when it's also a day that I really want to game for once, haven't played in a bit, but the games are all like "Nope! You can't game today!"

He wrote down "sequel" just fine, yet you write "seaquels" not once but twice? And you're from Australia where English is the native language?

I.....really have no clever comeback for that

I'm a terrible speller, as most people have pointed out

The following trends:

Multiplayer over singleplayer

Gameplay over story/ character development

"Accessibility/ streamlining" i.e. dumbing down.

If it weren't for games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Thief 4 (too little info at the moment though) to keep me interested I would prolly quit gaming altogether.

Racist, homophobic misogynists.
Grey-brown-o-vision.
Console wars.
Consoles vs PC wars.
People putting mediocre games on a fucking pedistal. (Black Ops comes to mind)
People thinking no dialogue means no characterisation. (Metroid: Other M was a big offender)
People who don't think about things enough in general. (not limited to gaming by any means)

The industry. Their treatment of the people who actually do all the work is absolutely abysmal. It'd make the next AAA game I play more enjoyable knowing that the people who produced it actually got a fair deal for their work.
Or if it didn't take four and a half hours to complete the game, and are expected the many other hours to come only from multiplayer since there was fuck all replayability in the main game; the main sufferer of far too many FPSs which could have been good.

There are so many things wrong with the gaming world right now, I've more or less rage quit. Me and my mates will spend a few hours doing random cases on LA Noire, or playing Warthog tag in Halo now and again, or spend a few hours hunting in Red Dead or making our own gametype things in random games (I.E. Six star wanted level which must be maintained in GTA4, and make your way from the top of the central island in Liberty City to the bottom without using any vehicles, including taking a taxi, train, etc. And then spice it up by havoing to destroy at least one chopper, five trucks, and ten police officers: officers, not SWAT members, with headshots only.). But we spend a majority of our time doing other things.

Gamers.

Ha!

Also, and this is mostly RPG-specific, but dealing with the leveling up tomfoolery, deciding which stats to put my points into and whatnot. I flat out refuse to do it in tabletop RPGs anymore. It's not fun. It's tedious.

I have many bugbears when it comes to gaming, though the order in which they run in tends to change on any given day. But amongst the biggest of mine are...

1.) Headsets.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry on the '360 has one, which includes a lot of whiny pubescent children who spout racial and sexualised obscenities every two seconds. But seeing how they are doing this in their own house - why haven't their parents chastised their little darlings for having a mouth that'd make a docker blush. Still, the mute button is always a button press away. :) (Plus it is kind of fun to hear them complain when you kill 'em.)

2.) DRM / Activation.
I know I'm not a PC gamer, but I feel compelled to speak out against it purely because it's incredibly unfair on them. They treat every gamer like a complete criminal when it's just a very small number of people who's doing any kind of piracy. Come on Publishers, knock that shit off!

3.) Elitism / Console or PC Bashing.
It's just plain immature, can't both sides simply agree to disagree with each other then live and let live. I personally don't care which side is superior or inferior. As an ex PC gamer, I see the pros and cons of both - the individual will buys whatever suits them best.

4.) Commercialisation of Gaming.
I know gaming is an industry, but the nickel and diming that goes on between the developers, the publishers, the retailers and the public is getting out of hand. Everyone needs to accept the life cycle of the video game and the publishers should stop bitching about second hand sales. IMO.
