Yeah MM is indeed madness. Especially following Zynga vs current contender. I guess the facebook connect thing is new for MM? Seems like it's getting as much of a lashing as Zynga is.
Officially, it was implemented before hand to make account making easier and that the staff didn't expect it to make it so damn easy for a certain developer to spam up votes. I don't believe a word of it. I mean, enter a Facebook only developer and allow the public to vote by putting in their Facebook details?

Hmmm, what do you believe? That the staff implemented it to purposely hand the victory to Zynga?
I really, genuinely doubt that they didn't even remotely see it coming.

And the Turbine community seems to be fed up playing the March Madness pantomime villains.

I like Farmville because I get achievements when I play. Before I started playing Farmville, I was addicted to DiceWars (http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/dice/dice.html), which is basically an easier version of Risk. I didn't like how it didn't save stats or mark progress or anything though.

i was wondering, are here some people (now) who deeply enjoy FARMVILLE?
What in the name of Odin's mighty precipice is Farmvile?
try this:

quote="Chester41585" post="9.183359.5479689"]I like how a discussion about what you like about Farmville instantly turned into three pages of "What do you hate about Farmville"[/quote]
i was wondering the same, but than, any oppinion is just as valid as the next one, and i still have hopes some people do like FV and have the guts to say why

I'll admit to playing it for a while, it was ok when you had people to interact with (for as much interactivity as you can have with a game such as this)

I stopped playing because I figured out a way to get rich real fast and it just killed any fun for me...

as far as i know, you can play it ouside fb. but i am not bribing you into signing up for it. my original question was to those -maybe few- who actually do play it, as to know what they DO like about it.

well if getting rich is your only drive, of course fguring that out is what kills the fun

i personally try to make my farms look good. planting in a matter so the eye will find a spot of beauty. some call my farm artistic. i find that flattering but maybe too much of a praise.

but thats my motivations. others go for other goalls. FV gives you that freedom

as for whoever posted about FV not being bloody enough, you can still get the axe in the trunk and pretend its for slaughtering your animals. if that is what drives your ford

LOL that you say that because I didn't know what to do with my pigs so I placed them next to the axe in trunk.

Yeah I see your point, I've seen some pretty amazing farms out there, but every time I started decorating, I thought "Gee, this land could be used to increase my income." XD

Hmm.. Perhaps I should look into a future of business or something :p

Yeah I get a kick out of this holier than thou attitude. Following any thread concerning Zynga/Farmville or any combination you quickly can assertain that: (These are observations and not necessarily my opinion!)
1 Facebook users don't know what a game is.
2 Facebook users don't know how to use the internet.
3 Facebook users have a low brain capacity and can do nothing other than click and do mindless things.
4 Facebook users are uninformed.

Also, if you read through the threads you can assertain that: (again, observations and not my opinion)
1. Anyone that hates farmville is a gamer.
2. Farmville users are old.
3. Farmville users are women.
4. Gamers play FPS. No other game genre qualifies.
5. Gamers are so informed that they know everything there is to know about every game company and game produced.
6. A democratic poll requires the voter to know everything about what they are voting for or against.
7. General Math: 3-4 million gamers are greater than 85 million farmville players.

Anyway, I also like how they fix things constantly. I'm still waiting for Majesty 2 to fix some things that they've been promising for months. Whereas I had a neighbor problem with neighbors being blank and not showing up and whatnot and now it's fixed.
Hmm. I use facebook, but I also win competitions and the like when it comes to gaming... Sorry but I'm pretty sure only a few people will match your demographic.

Gamers only play FPS? Really? Must be football players that compete in those Japanese Starcraft tournaments.

Edit: That wasn't meant for you by the way. More or less responding to the list.

i know exACTLY how you feel. i am in the same rut every now and then.

but now that i have achieved my primary goals (max. size ranch, villa, and 2millions + in the bank) i can have the luxury to decorate and give up some plots, in favour of beauty

I like the fact that it finally gave me the excuse to block a lot of people on Facebook that had been irritating me for a long time. The people who spam me with updates and invitations from these games just happen to be the same people whose other updates have always been boring, pointless, full of horrible spelling, just plain stupid or all of the above.

I like the fact that i can plough the word C*NT into my field and then take a photo of it to display to all my farmville playing idiot friends on facebook.
