An old man.

Seriously, I don't know or care.

I prefer multiple gods, where you know what they look like.

I am quoting you solely to compliment your choice of movie.

Congratulations, you receive the very prestigious Mnemophage Award for Good Taste, redeemable at your local mob-fronted restaurant for your choice of sidearm!

I believe the question is not "what God is" but rather "what the gods are". I'm polytheistic.
OK, then for those who Polytheistic what do your God's look like.

I want him/her to be a turtle. Quiet, friendly and calm, I think it'd be nice to have a very laid back god. Or at the least I want something like that, I never liked all these pillage, plunder and rape looking gods, I want my god to be omnipotent and cuddly.

I've eventually made up my mind that God could be anything, even a flying spaghetti monster... I don't really care, because it in no way affects me.

Rather than go into my opinions about god, I'll just say that there needs to be a rule of the internet stating that threads discussing god are strictly forbidden.

Let me also say that I will never talk about god or religion on an online forum. In fact, I tend to avoid any serious topics such as these on principle and will never discuss them until there is a mandatory IQ test to filter out all of the...unintellectual users.

Nice job reading more than just the title.

Actually, it was also directed towards what god looks like. I did read more than just the title, though maybe my wording did not express that. I do tend to...digress. What I said was intended as more of a blanket statement relating to all god questions. Although I will admit personal fault here. My previous post was more than a little off.

I believe god (or gods if you like) is the manifestations of all our imaginations to pass of responsiblity for our actions, no matter how horrible or rightious they may be.Take Jesus for instance. He created many morals and worked many (not to insult anyone, just my opinion)"miracles".His morals and teachings were so numerous and great, i belive people soon belive he was a godsend, and therefore called him so.People sometimes doubt what they can sometimes do and make god, a(what i believe to be) ficional character, take responsiblity.Likewise so when they do something wrong or ignorant and stupid. So, in a sense, we are all our own gods, responsible for all our actions and and reactions.
