haha, nice shot! although, i doubt most people on this site are old enough to have actually played that (or most other Atari 2600 games).

I'm only 19, and I've played it; of course, I was weened on retro so that might be a point against me.

not a point against you technically, that game was before my time, too, and i'm 30. but god, it was awful. i remember playing it and hating it as a kid, then laughing riotously when i saw it listed as the #1 worst game ever on multiple lists.

Oh, and pretty much any game that has an EA or Activision logo on it. And Ubisoft games for PC seems to get a fair bit of hate here.

I like that list. It pleases me to see that PC players have very good taste. CODBLOPS are down to a tenth place. But more than that, it's cool that we are playing gems like Metro 2033, Mount and Blade, Audiosurf, Garry's Mod and Half-Life 2.

Indeed.
The best, in my opinion, is when people spew tons of hatred for EA and then proceed to clamor over the next Mass Effect game.
Although, the "hatred" for games is normally pretty hypocritical, or, as previously stated, it is just hate for whatever is popular at the moment, a trend with a lot of the current media.

I'm gonna have to go with others and say the Call of Duty series (which is funny because I think the games are great...even though I never much cared for the modern warfare titles).

There also seems to be a very negative stance towards anything console-oriented or popular, pretty snobby stances if you ask me.

I remember when it was Halo 3... Now it seems to be Black Ops or Modern Warfare as per popularity. People just don't want to say they like mainstream stuff, to be fair I don't like any of the Call of Duty franchise. MY reason for that however is that I kinda had fun with modern warfare until they made a second... and two other games that were almost exactly the same. I just think they're pathetic excuses to sell violence to kids who get their endless fountain of money from their parents. But hey, that's fine with me... I just won't play them.

(For the record I still love the Halo franchise)

Pretty much anything popular not made by bioware or valve, usually CoD and Halo, two series I enjoy, but I am OK with that, so long as its just not mindless bashing

I hate halo, and the escapist community seems to agree. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trolling but halo 3 sucked(super easy on legendary), and the other halos that came out next, shouldn't have existed (wars, odst, reach) and this is because you don't feel like in halo 1 and 2 which were both great.

I'm not really going to say Call of Duty or Halo since I feel most people who hate these games only hate certain ones, never played them, or really never cared for the genre in the first place. I am going to mention a game that 99% of people who've played it knows it's crap: Vampire Rain.
