A hero, by definition, is valorous. Therefore, dying to save another is the most heroic way to die.

I'd say anything involving taking multiple bullets/arrows/stabs/lethal thing and still getting up to defend someone before dying.

Or a bunch of people
Who are your friends
And are about to cure cancer

And kill super aliens

With lasers
There, heroic way to go, save friends/cancer patients/everyone

I agree. Dying killing others is brave, but dying to save lives is truly heroic.

my favourite from a david gemmel book, basically it's on a clif face this giant man guy has been stabbed about 3-4 times, while the other hero's in the group are fighting the bad guys he takes kids to safety in like a cave thingy, gets sourounded by 2 bad guys, unarmed he just says "Did you know i once had wings" grabs them both by their throats and jumps of the cliff :p

that is has been my "most heroic way of dieing" :p ever seen

That, my freind, is deep. So deep, in fact, that it is hard to top.

I shall attempt to anyway. Defending the woman I love with only a sword in had, then finally after vanquishing the foe. I would turn to her, and I would give a warm hearted smile then finally succumb to my wounds.

Dying like John Freeman does is heroic.

I think running to save yourself (well, it is saving a life) is a heroic way to die :p

Watch "The Fellowship of the Ring".

Protecting two little midgets from an army of orcs is the way to go.

Dying whilst saving a bunch of people is the most heroic way to die, in my opinion.

When the Aliens are just about to blow up the military base with the giant laser, you crash your fighter jet into the weapon which is only possible because jeff goldblum put a virus in their ship.

Holding off gang members with a katana so that the single mother they intended to make their victim can get away, and dying due to the wounds they inflicted on you, but not until after you've killed each and every one of them.

Carrying the savior of the land across a mote of lava.

And swords have nothing to do with heroism. You just like the phallic imagery.
