Personally I want to see a MMO that gives me the tech feel of EVE online but with Mech combat spaning across several worlds (much like planetside).
I would need a deacent level of storyline to draw me in.
I would enjoy an extream level of customization when it comes to the mechs.
Multi faction play would be a must. Lets face it this would be a pvp dream.

I honestly just want a Star Wars MMO that doesn't suck. Hopefully TOR will be that game.

JESUS another one of these topics? Copy paste what I said before.

So I'll just copy/paste what I written before.
There's a fanmade Pokemon mmo. It's pretty shitty though. You'd have to pull it off pretty well to get it to be well received.

Um. I think maybe a gundam mmo. Can't use the later continuity's Gundams either; they're too overpowered in comparison to the majority of mobile suits. Skilling might be an issue in that kind of game though.
Phantasy Star! That'd be interesting. Again, skilling hasn't been done before, but given the futuristic setting I'm sure Sega could come up with something.
I've got another idea, but I don't feel like typing it out right now.... So.... Wait.

A story that isn't just "You're awesome, save the world."
One where Quests have a point. Not just one long grind.
Customization
PVP mixed with PVE

And finally: A choice of what you want as a quest reward. I don't want 1000 iron swords, give me some damn EXP as my reward!

Eureka 7 MMO. Of course, this will never EVER happen since it's such a niche franchise. But, you know how awesome it would be to battle against three nubs in normal KLFs and your in some custom LFO you spend a month getting and you beat them with some awesome Cut-Back Drop Turns?

There are rumors of a gameplay mode like this in the new Mechwarrior reboot. Right now it's just a rumor since the game doesn't even have a publisher last time I checked but a lot of the game's fans want the same thing you want.

more boobs, less armor?

no seriously I would like to see a mech style mmo.
The thing here is though to make it interesting and playable at all levels and mech sizes/capabilities. It would have to be a sprawling massive world. Where the smaller mechs could use their speed to make hit and run attacks and the larger mechs would have plenty of offers of cover. Yet have to decide whether or not to make the move from one place to another exposing themselves in the open as the moved slowly.

I actually liked Eureka 7, but I'm not sure how well that combat would work, it would be horribly difficult to set up advanced combat where you didn't just click a button for some ability, which I think would detract greatly from the immersion. Most the mmo's I've played after a point I was able to make a macro that was basically either "kill bad guy" or "support good guy" and spend the rest of the game in follow mode to whoever was in my party.

I'm really tired of that in mmo's I want immersion.

One with as little interaction from other mouthbreathers as possible. While playing with friends is fine and all, being forced into level parties with a bunch of idiots just isn't worth it.

Basically..
GTA / Saints Row 2 MMO.
With endless options as to how you customize your vehicle.
Your own crib, joining gangs, or joining up with the cops. That kind of thing!

OOOR..
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines MMO.
Make it good, and I'll play it.

I want less of the *click* 'attack' gameplay, and some more affect, like dodging, or actually attacking when I make my character attack.

Lol "Other mouthbreathers"
But I understand what your saying. Having a good quantity of content aimed at singleplayer advancement would be nice.

I think that kind of fighting would create a welcome intensity in combat. Though, it would quickly push out the untalented. I heard D&D online dose something like this. (never played it.)

A good, action-y, over the shoulder 3rd person shooter with deep RPG components.
And if it's for 360 and only requires Gold membership and no other subscription fees, all the better!
hand to hand Action type game play could replace shooter.
Anyone ever read "Carl the Cat that Makes peanut butter sandwiches?"
One story (at least one) was in Heavy Metal (September 2009 issue). Set the MMO in that world, with that art style and I'll buy 5 copies.
I was gonna put a pic from Carl the Cat that Makes Peanut Butter Sandwiches, but the only ones I could find either didn't capture the series well enough or showed boobs. look it up, but not at work!

One of these days I'm going to make my little tile-based megatraveller-like game. Seeing this thread where over half the posts are referring specifically to such a game reminds me that the void is there.

Alternatively, a 3D Kingdom of Loathing.
I agree with both of those.
Love looks amazing and I love (see what I did there?) Kingdom of Loathing.

The World of Darkness MMO is scheduled to be released in 2010. It's being developed by CCP, the makers of EVE, so I'm fairly sure it will be awesome. No other MMO developer has put as much effort into making their MMO better.

I just hope they've taken to heart some of the criticism people have about EVE. I really don't like the idea of staring at a spreadsheet for 4 hours while my vampire drives from LA to Vegas.

Hehe, yeah. I know what you mean. I've tried Eve myself. It's not exactly up my alley.

I would honestly love to play an MMO based around Exploration...

Not wading randomly generated dungeons full of boring enemies, but finding cool places, peoples and things and sharing that as a cooperative experience with others.

Also, I would like an MMO to be based around something other than mindless level grinding.

As much character customization as possible.

Instant travel instead of those damn gryphons/bats.
