Dunno if this is a well known thing, but it's fairly certain that the next TES game will take place in Skyrim. Bethesda took out the copyright a few years ago.

1: A new engine. The engine they're using is nearing a decade old. It's buggy, it's optimizations are horrid, and isn't impressive graphically. I've dotted with mods for a bit in it, and they're also a pain to make. It's scripting is incredibly limited.
A new engine (even if they made it) would save them so many hours and allow so much more to be done.

.
Agree 100%

The engine really is beginning to look and act very dated (as is Source TBH)

Steam powered Waffle BOTS!

bet you didn't see that coming.

P.S i don't know or care why this would be a bad idea

'Full kingdom exploration' and 'less walking about'

Sorry but i have trouble gluing these to into any possible full set unless you had some kind of magic steampunk car made from the blood of gods. Surely the way you explore IS by walking around?

For it to be nothing like Oblivion. That bored me. if they made the battle system more dynamic and similar to Gearbox's Might and Magic: Dark Messiah, i could play that for hours.

how bout you take oblivion's graphics, amp them up a bit and morrowind's kind of feeling i guess i'll call it and put it into skyrim and then make it so that you need food when you need it, not when you want to grind alchemy, and this time around try about 150 voice actors instead of like 5. do that and i would be happy.

Optional support for the new motion controllers.
More small villages with things to do in.
Make the cities open so I can ride my horse through them.
Less ugly characters.

What's it called when no matter where you go, the enemies are the same level as you? Combat scaling? Yeah, that needs to go.

I'd like there to be a sense of danger associated with certain places. It takes all the mystery out of exploring, as it is. Or some of it. At least the "I wonder what level these enemies will be?" part.

I would want to be able to travel all over the world instead of being confined to one country. Also some type of multiplayer and maybe an advancement in technology (flintlock, cannons, and bombs).

LAN (but not online) multiplayer, somehow TES seems the sort of game I'd want to play with friends, but not as an MMOG.

Smashable chests/doors, mages can magic away the locks and rouges can pick them but fighters can't get in.

The evade skill back from Morrowind! Even if they didn't split up Axes/Hammers and Seords/Daggers again I want the Ecade skill!

Better NPC interaction, including voice acting, lines, and all that. Also, more diverse and advanced combat, improved skill system, less use of fast travel, and... yeah that's it.

There was a certain element you could do with crafting called "constant effect" that they took away in Oblivion but had it in Morrowind.

I eventually was able to infuse glass armor with both "constant effect" and "healing". This cost a ridiculous amount of gold to craft, but the end result was that I was able to heal one health per second, passively. I was pretty much invincible after that :).

Realy my big problem is the lack of imersion, theres just never any real consequences for your actions. mass effect prooved imersion can make a game great.

no more god damn silent protagonists, RIPS OUT HAIR!!!!!!

more variety in magic and ranged weapons one animation for hundreds of varying strengths of fireballs is just stupid, there should be a difference between flare and fucking fire tempest.

better 3rd person animation

smarter AI, oblivion had 2 types runs away and casts spells, or crazy suicidal death charge.

going with the imersion i dont want to read my entire response to a question, make speach feel like its flowing, make it feel instinctive and impulsive like real conversations. in real life you dont have 10 minutes to formulate a response.

Better factions, you should feel like youre fighting for somthing. why cant you be a neromancer fighting to restore the king of wurms to his thrown. why cant you fight as the original vampric darkbrotherhood trying to take down the heritics that took your rightfull place.

yes iv said like a billion problems of all time but for a game with that many problems still being the best of all time, that realy shows on a scale how great a game it was.

Cutting people up, ala Fallout 3, and making your own guild. And some more stuff, just general improvements, like a really good third person view, so it could feel a bit more action-y in 3rd person.

Proper walking animations in 3rd person, NPCs to talk in other poses besides standing stiff and sitting stiff, and here's one for the record, more than green lands and small forests, big snowy lands, desert lands, something that makes the game feel BIGGER.
