now seriously i just go casual, if it's a chick party or in an embassy or something i wear a fancy suit.

A band shirt and various pants. Skinny jeans usually. If it's particularly formal, I'll put on my spiked wrist bands... I'll be going to a school ball next week in a "formal band shirt." It has various zips, safety pins, graphic of bullet for my valentine and the sleeves cut off... Bet everyone else will feel overdressed.

Anyway, for me, an unbuttoned polo with a shirt matching it underneith and jeans or shorts if its outside and hot.
Unless it's a spur of the moment, in which case, whatever I was wearing.

What do you wear to parties? Describe your typical "going to party" attire. I'm heading to one in a bit and wanted to see what fellow escapists wear to parties. Now, when i say party, i mean a party with your friends, could involve going clubbing or chilling in a house with a keg. I dont mean like cocktail parties where people get all deck out.

So, what is your typical party outfit?

short skirt, long jacket. ^_~ but then, i'm a girl.

the general rule of thumb is jeans and a nice shirt. think semi-casual on top (a button-down always works, or a collared shirt), and the jeans must be dark with no rips, decent fit.

If it's a party with my roommate's friends, usually comfy jeans and a nice shirt of some kind.

If it's something with people I don't know, gotta go with the black knee-length skirt, nice blouse, and flats. Elegance is always in style.

It depends. My friends are a crazy bunch, so we could end up wearing some suits, dresses, and wigs and only God knows what else. Usually, I just wear a t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of neon sneakers. Slightly dressier times (which are just when I feel arsed to button up a shirt) call for a vest and a snazzy tie. I only wear a blazer with that if it's seriously cold.

Nice shoes, jeans, and a flattering shirt. Can be either a nice T-shirt or a casual button up shirt. Has to be clean. The important thing is that you smell nice and your hair isn't weird and the bouncers will still let you into clubs.

I don't go to parties. No parties to go to either, that's what you get when you have no friends in the neighbourhood.

If I would, I'd just wear what I usually wear: pair of sneakers, dark jeans, a t-shirt and a casual dress shirt.

I used to have an awesome drinking hat (a mafia sort of style black hat with a white ribbon around it, it was plastic so cost me 2 pound)that I'd managed to take out with me on all my drunken times for 4 years. 2 weeks ago i was at a mates house party, he was so drunk he ripped it in half
