My dad thinks they're silly and weird (then again, he doesn't have much imagination, I find. He also scoffs at the words "Suspension of disbelief"). But he does think that some are cool, mostly ones that look realistic. Like...his main comment after seeing "the Dark Knight" on my PS3 (blu ray), his main comment was "Oh wow....the picture was amazing". That's pretty much it... >_>
My Mom thinks they are a total waste of time, outside of brain age, Professor layton and DDR. But she understands that Gaming is what makes my world go round, and she doesn't bother me about it anymore. I mean, I'm 23. She understands that she can't really tell me what to do anymore. That, and the above games have softened her stance on gaming considerably.
My younger brother? He thinks they're kinda cool, but he really isn't into them. He's more into drawing. And my GOSH can he draw. He has played a few games with me before, but hasn't ever really gotten into them. And I don't blame him. To be a good gamer, you need good instincts, and good technique, and he lacks both. And the patience to acquire either.
