At age 18 I got sent out from the Lamplight into the wasteland to live at Big Town where I have to fight off Super mutants and slavers at a day to day bases.
A high five and a cookie for you sir.

ok in canada

16 to drive
18 to vote, buy porn, star in porn and drink in quebec
19 to drink in rest of canada and buy smokes

other than that being adult is making your own decisions and being morally and legally responsible for your actions

it's a time for you to grow up and act for yourself

Ah, the young innocent days of a thirteen year old.

Well, "innocent" is a bit...yeah. How many 13 year olds are actually remotely innocent these days?

It means reality hits you, hard, in the face. And then the bills come. They don't stop, sometimes even after death they continue to bug you. In short, it's a real pain and you soon miss childhood.

Everyone listen up. This is important. Turning 18, or whatever the age is where you're from, means nothing. The magic age of adulthood is... 24. When I turned 24, I truly felt like an adult. This is when I gave up hoodies and started taking my financial future into my own hands. I've talked with other people, and they too felt that 24 is the actual age when you become an adult.

It means bills and responsibilities, trying to find a decent job and all that other depressing crap...but on the upside it also means you can hit up strip clubs.

Now friends and family keep asking me what I want to do for my 21st, since they view that as some kind of glorious age of enlightenment, and I have no clue why.
I think the answer is obvious: Bouncy castle.
I have only one thing to say to that.

HELL YEAH!

On a more serious note, it just means your responsible for your own actions, no hiding behind IM A MINOR anymore. also, bills bills bills and more bills. I hit 18 and immediately my car insurance went up. The whole insurance sexism thing is bull crap. 95 percent of the crashes in my town are caused by teenage girls, so why are MY premiums so much higher!

ahem, sorry about that.

I was thinking of doing something more along the lines of Paintball. I want them to realise I'm really not that mature yet, but I don't want them to start worrying about my mental health.
