I'm gonna go against the grain this time and not use a poll.
What do you think a hardcore gamer is and what does it take to become one? Are there several levels or types of gamer? Or are you like me and think there really aren't any, you're either a gamer or you're not. But to that end, what does it take to be a quote/unquote Gamer? Just playing a few sports games on the family Wii every now and then, or actually owning your own system and games? Is it how many hours you clock in a week? Validation from your peers?
My take on it is - if you have a passion for games, as in having critical opinions on them and a strong urge to play them for the experience, you're a Gamer. If you don't, then you're not. Simple, no?
