I'm a bit of an alkie. I usually keep a bottle of cheap vodka on hand at home for mixing with energy drinks or juice or what have you. I used to drink Joose rather frequently until they took the caffeine out of it. That was just silly. Before that it was sparks.
At the bar I usually get gin and tonic. Sapphire is the best that I have had so far but a bit pricey so I usually go with Tanqueray. I used to do Jack and coke frequently as well but I just can't stomach it like I used to. When I first started drinking I was partial to the Adios but I actually haven't had one in quite some time.
I do not care much for beer and usually only drink darker beers like Guinness, Newcastle, or Sapporo. Black Velvet is fun, its a combination of Guinness and champagne. I've only had it with cheap champagne though, I'm not sure I would put up the cash for a good champagne just to mix it with Guinness. Of course if you have some cheap barely drinkable champagne about it'll probably make it better.
I prefer red wines though champagne isn't bad I suppose. I haven't drank much wine in a while now. I used to be able to drink just about any old cheap ozzie stuff but it tends to give me headaches nowadays.
Cider is great but I don't care for many brands. Hornsbys amber is my favourite. It used to be Hardcore Black but I can't find the Hardcore brand anymore. Wyders is just too expensive for not being all that great. Woodchuck is good but its just too much like straight apple juice. For those of you who do not like the taste of booze but would like to find some you like try out some cider, particularly Woodchuck. And for those of you who like cider try some fruit lambic.
And a bit of "Ciderpunk" from my current favourite band.
