Mine is an object you put on your head in various sports and activities to protect you from concussions and the like.

It is also the nickname I earned after two different people got a concussion from headbutting me.

I just made up a random, interesting word that no one else would think of so I wouldn't have to put a number after it wherever I make an account.

Thanks :3
Its the old celtic way of spelling kieran
Wrong! Ciarán is an Irish name meaning 'Little Dark One.' Originally a nickname for a dark-haired person. As a saint's name (Saint Ciaran of Clonmacnoise (Kieran the Younger) 516-549), it was too holy for everyday use, so was replaced with names like 'Gilla Ciaran' or 'Mael Ciaran' meaning 'Devoted to St. Ciaran' and 'Servant of St. Ciaran.'

And now you know.

OT: My nickname is Nerdfury. I am named so as I am a nerd, and I am often furious.

Alexander is my name, and the Astartes was because it was alliteration :D

Apparently Astarte was a Goddess of war and fertility, I've discovered since. I used it as my username when I was a kid, and it sort of carried over to the present.

Either way, it works well enough as my gamer name.

Argument- When I'm on a argument roll, no debates can stop me!

Man- That thing between m....... In short: I'm a man.
This, except:

Incredible - Too implausible to be credible; beyond belief; unbelievable / Amazing; astonishing; awe-inspiring / Marvelous; profoundly affecting; wonderful.

Bullshitting - Present participle of bullshit: False or exaggerated statements made to impress the listener rather than deceive / A card game in which the object is to bluff about cards laid down and to determine when one's opponents are bluffing / An object of frustration and/or disgust, often caused by a perceived deception.

Quite straightforward, really. No mystery there.

I named myself after the personal defense weapon that really got me interested in guns. Now I'm a collector of rare firearms.

Mine is based off of a story character I made, based off of me. Neko is japanese for cat, so I added the "i", for a coolness factor.

Koeryn doesn't actually mean anything though if you spell it more phonetically and change one of the letters, it means (according to various sources)

"Young creature"
"Dove"
"Whelp"
"Young cub"
"Victor"
"Peace"

So I guess victorious and young dog/wolf? And Peaceful? I dunno.

but Koeryn, spelled as such has no meaning I don't believe.

Let's translate it from Japanese (even though it was never intended to be in Japanese in the first place).

Koe means Voice, a cry, or a note.
Ryn doesn't translate, BUT
Rin means "cold"

So Koerin is "A cold voice."

Which I guess is interesting ish.

It's greek for "Free" or "Freedom" and stolen from this [http://home.stevenpressfield.com/books/last_amazons.asp] novel.
Isn't it freedom "Eleutheria"? I studied Ancient Greek, but my memory is a bit hazy.
I've heard both, in the novel it was translated as freedom, I've been told by greek people it's free and the internet tells me both translations are correct... so your guess is as good as mine really.
