When a game is too long. Like, artificially longer than it needs to be, for the sake of sacrificing plot or storyline.
And online DRM makes me angry a little too.

When the game changes due to circumstances outside of my control.

The worst, bad controls. Not inefficient controls; I'm a PC gamer so I can almost always amend the assignments, I mean buggy controls. There was a CS spinoff a few years back that had control lag when quick-loading, as in you couldn't do anything for a little over a second, which is *crucial* timing for quickloading in pressure spots.

Skyrim has recently started doing something similar where my weapons won't swing after quickloading, which leads to more quickloads due to horrible splattery death.

Forced stealth sections in a game, especially in an rts. I got dawn of war in the THQ bundle (RIP) played it for a couple of levels then BAMM! Stealth mission. And I thought, well screw you too. And went off to play darksiders.

If you have unskippable cutscenes, you've just earned your way onto my shitlist.
I agree wholeheartedly. I'd also like to voice my displeasure at long segments of "gameplay" that consist of nothing but someone spouting exposition at you while you stand there/follow them.

It normally doesn't bother me too much the first time 'round but when I'm replaying a game it's just as bad as unskippable cutscenes.

Large, multi-GB updates piss me off, too. I bought Shogun 2 retail to AVOID a large router-killing download and you're making me download 12GB anyway?! Fuck you, Steam. All the sales in the world won't make me hate you any less.

Pretty much in online games you finally get what you wanted (loots) and then you get d/c and when your try to log back in, the reward you earn is gone!
Also when the area/ level has been made unfair. No I'm not talking about Dark Souls, I mean it was made unintionally hard that you got to team up to do it. If I want to played it solo, I should be allow to not being force to team up.

Absolutely, retardedly abysmal teammates that I am forced to rely on in team PvP games. The kind so stupid all they have to do is follow your instruction to a T and your team will have a guaranteed win, but a combination of their inability to comprehend written English or an inability to perform simple tasks leads to a defeat. Mobas are the worst at this, because your mouthbreathing teammates are with you for a good 30 minutes or longer unless you're graced with a quick loss, but even in games like World of Tanks with shorter matches it's insanely annoying to get near the end of the match, have only 2-3 tanks alive per side, and 1 or 2 of the ones alive on your side are just award-winningly stupid and fuck everything up. THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH BADNESS I CAN CARRY.

...that's it really. Plenty of things in games merely annoy me, but retarded teammates legitimately enrages me.

God of War Chain of Olympus. There is this unskippable cutscene before the FINAL boss battle that's about 1 - 2 minutes long. After you die, you have to watch that cutscene again.

If you watch that cutscene 3 times in a single playthrough or something you get a trophy called "Cool Story Bro".

The fact that the developer was deliberately trying to piss me off...... pissed me off.

Fighting games have always really pissed me off but also bought me so much joy as well bringing me the lowest lows and highest highs but the things that really piss me off in them are cheating A.I you know what I mean when they predict your every move and react perfectly no matter what mix ups you have and the other one is losing online due to lag.

Seriously losing because it takes a second for your button press to equate to anything on screen is absolute bullshit and then you see them teleporting around the screen making it impossible to react. I lost to some guy yesterday when all (s)he was doing was jumping in hard kick then sweep and yet I couldnt block low enough in time because of the input lag nor could I counter with an anti air because of the delay damn that annoyed me.

You also get instances where their slowest attack comes out faster than your fastest and you just think really f**k this shit. Teabagging and trolling also piss me off i.e you create a beginners room and you get some A ranked idiot join and destroy everyone or they create a new account so they can grief low level players pretending to be low rank.

Losing because you have been outplayed is annoying but I can handle it and in some cases I am really impressed at the other persons skill although it does tend to get annoying after 20 times in a row especially if they are so good that you dont really get to push more than 1 button before you die again, but losing when you know you should not be because of factors outside your control is infuriating.

QTEs , time limits and escort missions also tend to annoy me but thats only if they are done poorly.
Pretty much everything you described is what I tend to hate eternally with a burning loathe of hatred.

That part where you mention about griefers creating new accounts to carry on griefing is exactly why I don't play Battlefield 3 any more since you can have ranked Colonel's creating new accounts just so they look like total noobs at first but can easily wipe you out and carry on playing with that story just to piss you off.

Seriously you don't see WhiteRa from SCII doing that shit because everyone knows he's got actual skill and doesn't need to create a new account to show it.

Non-games. Mobile market mostly guilty of it. Mostly games that pretend to be simulators but aren't, since how you build your town or whatever doesn't actually factor into anything. In the end, it's just build stuff, wait hours for stuff to be built and pay money if you wanna build faster. It's kinda like... what's the gameplay even? Button tapping and waiting.

- Rape. Unless it's literally plot driven along the lines that it's done right.. never include it just for 'shocker' value or try to make it dark for the sake of 'this is a dark game .. rape is dark.' A few games have included this concept and only one of them made me feel for the character, while the others felt forced making me resent the game for pulling this out for again, the sake of 'shocker' value and not being creative as to how this applies to the game's plot. And please, don't tell me it's to strengthen a character's personality, over 90% of the time in real life rape screws up people mentally along with making them feel useless, worthless, and scarred. So yeah don't use rape unless it's absolutely required in the plot and done right for story telling.[/list]
The only form of media I've ever really seen done right was an anime called ~EF~ Tale of Melodies...it's affect on people was (in my eyes) well portrayed. It wasn't glorified, it wasn't drawn out. It was mentioned and from that point you had all the emotion you needed.

OT:
QTE's, specifically ones that you have to rapidly alternate between two buttons (i.e. R1 then L1). J&D: The Lost Frontier was a MASSIVE offender in this regard in which I had to get my Dad to do them for me.
He doesn't even play games!
Maybe it's because I have cerebal palsy so one of my hands can only do simple things, but dammit, when I have to get outside help to get over a little bridge? Not cool man.

Collectibles that have to point but to be there to be collected. For an example, I'll give something that does the opposite; The Darkness II gives you artifacts to collect, and not only do they give you XP, each one has an interesting backstory to add to the plot. But then if you look at say...Damnation, you can collect Medallions which give you NOTHING but a trophy. Those collectibles are stupid as hell! Simply meaningless padding.

automatic language selection in games that you cant change.
like in colonial marines. you cant chane the language and have to endure shitty lazy german dubbing.
That and it turned out they couldn't get the real Hicks actor michael biehn but they could get Bishop's actor.
Maybe that's why the language settings are so they could prevent people from listening to the horrid voice acting and thinly sliced plotholes.

Idiots.

Let me explains. In Battlefield 3, you can revive people after they get shot down. Well, some idiots think it is a smart idea to revive you while the enemy is still firing at you, causing you to die again.

It isnt as bad as it was in BFBC2, but still.

Or when i try to complete a specific challenge and everything just works against me. Finally get C4 on a tank, and a quarter second before i get to blow it up, i get shot. That annoys the hell out of me.

Thats all of the top of my head.

"Hey Everybody! Come buy our brand new, triple-A game! It's the whole reason you bought the console you chose after all, and the wait is finally over! Every magazine and website is giving this game a 10 out of 10 and you'll be laughed out of existence if you don't buy this game! The best part of course being THE MULTIPLAYER! Which was hand-crafted for a full decade by Santa's Elves, working 23-hour shifts, 7 days a week!! YOU MUST PLAY THE MULTIPLAYER AS IT WILL COMPLETE YOUR LIFE!!! Oh by the way, it's online only and there's no option to play on your own and with bots..."

I feel like I've mentioned this before a few dozen times...I really liked Future Perfect and absolutely loved Duke Nukem 64 because it features multiplayer maps that you can play with bots. I think the biggest waste of potential when it comes to bot matches is the Halo series. The NPCs can already fight while not stealing all of the kills, they can drive vehicles and, they were smart enough to fight each other without homing in on the player character. Why the Hell didn't Halo or Halo 2 feature bot matches?! I concede that by Halo 3, Microsoft likely paid off Bungie to do anything in their power to get players to keep their subscription to Xbox Live paid up...and that's probably why Xbox Exclusives and multiplatform games don't feature bot matches anymore...

Slternatively, just forcing you to sit through boring shit that adds nothing and breaks the flow completely, like that stupid job in Super Paper Mario for the Wii.
You can just google the right codes to skip the work you would otherwise need to do you know. I did that.

Unskipable cutscenes and game where saving is awkward annoy me. (GTA 3) anyone?
