that urine is harmless and can be/was used/is used as both a mouthwash and anti-septic for cleaning wounds. I mean, most of my teachers are complete idiots and they seem to think that urine contains live bacteria and is extremely toxic, but it is just water with some proteins in it...
It was also used for laundry in Ancient Rome, it became so valuable it was taxed.

I heard it was the greeks to first use it for dental hygiene. I remember a quote from a philosopher of antiquity who hated the fact people would use urine as mouthwash.

"I'm surprised you go around smiling because everyone knows the whiter you teeth are the more pee you've been drinking"
(Not verbatim obviously)

I forget where I heard this, but marijuana was once America's number one cash crop, and an important crop grown on George Washington's plantation.

urine doesnt contain protein, if it does you have kidney damage and will die of an infection very soon.
you sir, need to study some Biology.
the main ingredient in urine is water.
the second biggest part is Urea- an organic protein which forms the "toxic" part of urine. but even though it forms the second largest part of urine, it is harmless to us in the small amounts present in our urine. like somebody else who quoted me said, you would have to drink a lot of urine to suffer toxic effects. but there is enough in your average cup of urine to kill bacteria.

the last two ingredients are inorganic salts, and inorganic proteins, both of which make up less than 1% each of your urine.

Oh, and somebody asked If I personally drink or gargle with urine. the answer to that is no, i do not. mouthwash is far more effective...

Some interesting facts about Tea

The Irish drink more tea per person/per day than any other country in the world, if you count the # of cups per person/day (average of course.)
however if you go by weight (of the dry leaves) it is a bit further down the list.

Tea is also the most consumed beverage on the planet, after water. but water is often not included in such list (for the reason that it is not prepared in any way, like tea, coffee, coke, beer etc.)

The USA is also one of the VERY few countries in the world where tea is not number #1 on the list of beverages. It is also the only one where Iced tea is higher than normal tea.

You might want to rethink that, a bullet isn't going to wait to get your attention before it removes half your brain.

I was just watching a Live Surgery programme [I dunno if anyone else saw it] and I was shocked to find out that cocaine was used to temporarily numb and stop a patients nose bleeding. I thought the surgeon was kidding at first so I googled it and found it was true.
So just for a bit of fun; what fact or piece of information has shocked you?
a paramedic gave my dad cocaine after a particularly bad fall

The reason is that it's caustic. it actually cauterizes the wound in your nose when used responsibly.

the fact that shocked me the most was that Uncle Phil from fresh prince played Shredder in the TMNT Cartoon show

Sounds like the TV show QI needs far more international coverage :D

There's nothing like a show where the questions are like:
'ok, How many moons does the Earth hav-'
*BZZ* 'ONE!'
'wrong, lose ten points...it's actually two.'

Then next series the same question.

*BZZZ* 'TWO!'
'Wrong, lose ten points'
'but but..you said last year..'

Anyways I've left a link and you can wnder youtube for more, or it's on DVD now.

It's basically a quiz show where most of the questions are stupidly hard, but sounds very easy.

Actually calling marijuana 'completely harmless' is total BS.
You're still inhaling smoke and addicting brain-altering chemicals.
Also, marijuana actually has more carcinogens than tobacco.
huh, i always figured that it was the tar and general crap used to keep tobacco from burning too quickly that caused cancer and throat cilia damage. either way it doesn't make a blind bit of difference, because people are still gonna smoke. and if they ban it? it's an addictive substance, so people are still gonna want that white stick burning, and WILL have their way if the government decides to outright ban it. Also your carcinogen argument was correct, according to some further research.
I guess I was wrong, thanks for the correction. I'm still gonna hit up my bong when I get the chance though ;)
Right - but also, people usually smoke less weed than tobacco. Enough to make up the difference.
