Probably the MLP fandom, and I'm not even a bronie. A lot of the art is superb, and with fics like Fallout: Equestria around, it's hard to give it to anyone else.

As a, brony, I required by Pony-law to tell you that MLP is the best fandom ever. But then I remembered Arby n' the Chief.
So I'm really tied between MLP and Fallout: Equestria, or Halo and Arby n' the Chief. A literary experience that I will never forget, or one of the funniest machinimas I've ever watched. It's too close to call.

My Own Fandom obviously. Anything someone makes for me is going to be a hundred times better than shlock they make for you guys.
And sorry, I cannot say that Bronies make the best stuff when there are people who feel that pictures like the child at the Warsaw Ghetto or the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima are made better by the inclusion of fucking ponies.

MLP, hands down, in my opinion, or at least from my observation. There is some great stuff to be had there in every artistic sense.
Though, the community set up around Katawa Shoujo has created massive amounts of great content too, like, well, Katawa Shoujo itself.

The Elder Scrolls ?? All those mods don't just appear out of nowhere, you know. Also look Nehrim up.
Outside of that can't really think of anything, all would be either too obscure or too big and vocal minority and Sturgeon's Law (90% of everything is crud) kick in. At that point you can't really argue that one fandom is better then other because of few talented people (like the already mentioned Team Four Star) while everything else is shit.

+1 for Katawa Shoujo, the only "game" in recent memory where I felt in emotionally invested in the characters (before that was metal gear solid 4 though). Although saying that I havnt seen alot of fan stuff surrounding the game like other people have said, I'm looking in the wrong places I guess.DrRockor said:

Touhou. I have a hard time imagining that any other fandom can beat it. It's funny, 'cause I feel that a lot less people know about it than MLP. Sure, a LOT of it is porn(but I do not complain 
) and guys cosplaying as girls in frilly clothing(OH GOD PLEASE NO) but there's still more fanart/music/figurines/doujins(fanfics) than you can possibly imagine. It apparently has a few conventions, but the biggest is the Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai. The latest as far as I know had just about 5000 circles(groups) participating.
I especially like all the music arranges. I pretty much only listen to Touhou arranges. No, I don't dismiss other music, it's just that at the end of the day you just don't have time to listen to everything. And this shit never ends. There's a torrent with just Touhou arranges that's 1.1 TB. Those are compressed files as well. If you're wondering, I wanted to know if the biggest Touhou torrent available would be porn or music. I would not be surprised either way >_>

The Hetalia fanbase does pretty well. Sure there is lots of yaoi to get past, but that kinda happens when 90%+ of the nations are dudes. The fan-made RPGs are amazing. As are the fan-made videos based off the fan-made games.

Oh, Bronies no doubt. We've got scores of music, images, flash games, movies, animations, websites, stories, all in massive quantities and with incredible excellence considering the time people have had to make them. It's unreal.
Excluding MLP:FiM I got to admit Avatar (The Last Airbender) got a good fandom. It kind of like MLP (fanstories, fanarts and awesome parodies) but not as big but that's good since some people hate how big MLP had become so Avatar was more like self contain. Now that Legend of Korra is aired, the fandom has return.
