Well for me i'd say the final episode of black adder goes fourth (only people from britan/ireland would of seen it) and again "Jurrasic Bark"

But although i'm not the biggest scrubs fan the "my lunch" episode was pretty Sad
I to am going to say Scrubs. Specifically the last of the three episodes that had Brendan Fraiser in it. His characters name was Ben and he was Dr. Cox's brother in law if i'm not mistaken.

His character was just so funny and well writen and his relationship with Doctor Cox and the way they presented his death just made it so god damn sad.

Edit: Oh man, this thread is old. The guy I quoted is going to be mildly confused.

Black Adder Goes Forth. That last episode, with the laughing, and the insults and the bang bang bang!

Also, there was a TV series a few years back called Occupation starring James Nesbitt and a couple of other guys who I know of but can't remember their names. It was about the war in Iraq, and the impact it had on these three men. It was really sad at the end, because
James Nesbitt's son joined the army and he was under his dad's command, and he got trapped in a building by these rioters and Nesbitt hears his son calling for help on the radio but by the time he gets there the rioters have gone and his son is lying dead on a bed

Also a one-off show called the Fattest Man in Britain on ITV at Christmas 2009. It was so good, had Timothy Spall, and the ending made me choke up.

Also Futurama.

Also, why have you ressurected this thread?

This is a list of one for me. The episode of Friday Night Lights where Matt Saracen's dad dies. That whole thing is such a tour de force of being soul crushingly sad

Those two episodes brought tears to my eyes.
Just... damn.

Also, the opening scenes of Up! had me fighting back tears.
The opening scene didn't do that so much as the last scene in Up.

Where their house is sitting at the falls with their chairs out front. Also, it really brought a tear to my eyes when he threw everything out of the house but placed the chairs in their correct order.
Up was awesome.

if it doesn't get to you in some way, tears or not, you have no soul

but for me, first thing that came to mind, was the Witchblade anime :( didn't just make me cry, made a friend of mine cry to

The Doctor Who episode Doomsday when
Rose is stuck in the alternate dimension. She tells him she loves him, and you know, just know, he is going to say it back, but then the dimensional breach seals up before he can say it.
I cried like a little kid who's had his bike stolen, then had to explain what was wrong to my wife when she got home half an hour later (which was bad because I am always ragging on her about watching those "silly" Lifetime Movies that she knows are going to make her cry.)
i was sad at that ending as well, and i HATE rose (as a character)

This.

Also David Tennant's departure from the show. The famous "I don't want to go" is so tear-jerking. Plus him saying goodbye to his former companions was sad too.

Scrubs, especially the final episode. Not the shitty latest season.

There are plenty of others... Futuruma and some other shows too.

Anime has made me come close to clears or teary eyed plenty of times, especially with Clannad, Evangelion and many many others.

As an example of a scene in Evangelion that really hits me? Well...

Spoilers of course.

And Clannad? Primarily it's from the second season - After Story. Those who have seen it all know what i'm talking about.

Yet again... spoilers. Even just hearing Clannad's soundtrack makes me all teary eyed.

EDIT: OH FFS. A thread back from 2010? Who resurrect's this stuff? Seriously.

I can't recall any episode of any shows I've watched that made me cry, unless you count just a few sad tears as crying. In that case the end of Death Note where:

Light dies

made me cry a little.

I know it's been said already, but I'm talking about it, so there. Doctor Who.
The part of The Family of Blood when John Smith wanted to live got to me.
Journey's End with the flashbacks of all those people dying.
The end of The Sound of Drums.
Pretty much the last 20 minutes of The End of Time.

Edit: This thread being necroed reminded me of a couple in the BBC version of Robin Hood as well, namely the "Kalima and Dimna Night" in A Good Day To Die, and We Are Robin Hood, for reasons that should be obvious if you've seen it.

But I wasn't crying, I was laughing on the wrong side of my face.

The Finale of Body of Proof this season

When Peter got stabbed and Megan called his name, he didn't answer. Damn I was crying. Peter is my favorite.

Also In the Walking Dead

When Dale died. I bawled my eyes out. It was so bad XD

the last thing that made me really sad (I hardly ever cry, and have never cried over a film/game or book)was the scene in Band of brother's were SPOILER ALERT they tell the jews that they have to go back in the death camp...

not only is it fucking grim and sad stuff but (as with 99.9% of band of brothers) actually happened...

seriously if you haven't watched band of brothers watch band of brothers

I distinctly remember shedding a tear for Ace (hence the avatar). I knew it was coming, but after two whole arcs of trying to save him, and hearing his last words of "Thank you all for loving me" breaks my heart just thinking about it

The ending to Toy Story 3 also had two tears going down my cheeks.

The office when Michael was leaving and saying bye to everyone. Made me cry, it's a show that makes you care about the people especially Michael Scott!

Doctor Who: the Vincent and the doctor episode. The scene where they take Van gogh to the future and show him that people love his art.
Matt explaining: For those of you who don?t know, Vincent Van Gogh is among the most brilliant and greatest artists who ever walked this blue and green ball we call earth. I love his work and I was really, really looking forward to this episode when they said they were gonna do something with Vincent Van Gogh. Now Van Gogh might be brilliant but he was never seen as any good, or even treated any good. He never got any recognition when he lived and it was only after his tragic suicide that people got their brains turned on again and saw his paintings for the treasures they were.

And the episode of futurama that was about fry?s dog (face it, it makes everyone sad)
I don?t even need to tell you why it makes me cry, it?s just very sad. It is a story of loyalty and friendship that made my eyeballs slightly more wet then usual

There are many, so I'll just post the most recent one.
One of the main characters; Opie Winston dies which didn't shake me up all that much, I was more surprised they actually killed off a main character on the fifth season, but one episode later they have his wake, and of course they played sad music and everything, I tried to hold the tears back and I failed.

It's been years since I last cried for anything, let alone a show. Then the other day, something weird happened. An episode of Community, and not even an episode that was necessarily meant to be sad, made be tear up a bit.

It was the one where the study group takes Troy out for his 21st birthday. The part that got to me was at the end where Troy has to, in a way, be the parent to the people who are supposed to be the mature adults. It just reminded me of a time in my life where I had a similar realization (my experience being a little more on the depressing side) and I couldn't help but get a little teary-eyed.
