Starfox Assault: Switching between the Arwing, Landmaster, and heavy weapons on foot to get a 300 Hit combo in less time than it takes to make popcorn feels pretty good.

Sonic 06: The second I learned I could catch a whole bunch of rockets, missiles, and grenades as Silver and the send them back to the mechs they came from, I felt badass.

MegaMan X4-5: Slash Beast and Grizzly Slash's stages, and the final stages from X5.

TF2: Reflect a Demoman's sticky bomb back into his face, light everyone in the room on fire and hit them with the Axetinguisher, then flare crit a sniper to death. Felt oh so good/badass.

Mass Effect 2, just because you completely annihilate EVERYONE, and the writing for Shepard owns pretty much every protagonist in every game EVER! (Yes, I'm exaggerating)

Plus, I nuked a giant, larval, terminator-destroyer...thing in the FACE!

P.S. I beat ME2 on Insanity as a Vanguard. Whenever you get past one of those really hard battles, you feel pretty much unstoppable.

I would have to just go with most fighting games. There really is nothing like totally dominating someone in a one on one fighter. When you're stuffing every move that they're doing and you can tell that you're getting totally into their head. Even if you're not playing as a "badass" character, you still get a total badass feeling.

Outside of fighting games, I'll go with Ninja Gaiden. So much mobility and variety in moves combined with so many enemies that aren't just fodder but can actually kill you if you slip up. Oh, and no QTEs to take you away from being the one actually being the badass.

Mirror's edge.
Leaping across skyscrapers with bullets wizzing past you ears!
The disarms are pretty badass too
Although come to think of it it's a bit strange that the game that makes me feel the most badass is one where you spend most of the time running away from your enemies and you're up against plain old humans not super monsters as appose to say...GoW witch has already been mentioned a few times in this thread. Probably because it's just so dam immersive (until you hit one of those shitty 2d cut scenes that is) and since you're not really playing someone who is meant to be an unstoppable powerhouse just an unarmed girl going up against cops in full roit gear. When you take someone down its like "oh yeah! I'm bad" (also I've had Mirror's edge on the brain lately)
Also Bioshock 2, who doesn't feel badass defending little girls from waves of spliced up maniacs? "Daddy's mad, and you'll be sorry!"

No more Heroes 1 and 2, but especially 2. Because lightsabers, wrestling moves, punk rock, anime and ultra violence is a kickass mix.

An upcoming game you may have heard of called Halo: Reach.

But seriously, it's gonna feel so awesome sneaking up behind an elite and then sinking a knife into it's spine, then proceding to do that to an entire covy base.

Owwww yheaaaa

Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) for obvious reasons.

Red Dead Redemption because there's nothing like walking into a fort full of banditos with a shotgun while yelling "MI NOMBRE ES JOHN MARSTON!"
"Me llamo John Marston," makes more sense.

Mount and Blade because I love riding into battle with my well trained army and riding around on my horse cutting down other enemies with my sword. The Sword I am using is called the Sword of War so it makes it even more awesome.

Damn you for linking TV Tropes, about to lose another evening reading through it again!

OT:Infamous once you start upgrading your powers... or when you get the Gigawatt blades DLC where you basically turn your arms into lightning swords, hit a guy off of a top of a building and watch him go flying into the streets below... always works.

Tell that to Rockstar, I didn't write any dialogue for the game. Besides, it's being said by a semi-literate American who can't speak Spanish.

Ah. My apologies.

This reminds me. Perhaps I should ask my roommate if I can play that.

I felt like a complete badass in Dante's Inferno. Especially the cross kill quick time event, where you slowly freeze a demon and then smash its head to pieces. I always got pumped doing that.
