Saints row 2, most fun I have ever had with a game. It may seem a bit dumb to some people but I honestly could care less.

Periods, dude. I'm no grammar nazi but I wish people would learn to at least punctuate their posts.
Considering his profile age puts him at around eleven, I'm not surprised about the shit house grammar.
I thought The Escapist didn't allow anyone under the age of 13? For that matter, I think these forums are a bit much for an 11 year old. Not his parent, but...

Anyway, when I was 11 my sentences were shit, but my spelling and punctuation were decent and people could understand what the hell I was saying. Sometimes when I see posts from this OP, I can't get heads or tails of what he's saying.
Oh I wasn't saying it's an excuse, just trying to shed light on the situation.

Also, yes, there is an age limit on the Escapist, or at least I thought there was.
1997-2011=14 i hope your making an obvious joke
It wasn't 1997 when I looked, might have changed his profile. Either that or I'm going blind in my old age.
trust me it was and has always been 1997

Fable: The Lost Chapters.

One of my first RPGs and the last decent Fable game ever conceived.
There's this, then there are the first two Golden Sun games, and Dark Cloud. All excellent games.

MW2. And I don't mean COD, I mean Mechwarrior 2. This one is 12 years older, and 15 times better. It's what really got me into the whole gaming thing, and it has a feeling that, to this day, cannot be matched. The awesomeness of driving your customized mech, blasting enemies to bits, etc. is still great fun. That is why I'm also into mechs and robots, btw.
Plus it had the most kickass intro I've ever seen:

Well, I've got my big Top Five, all of which I hold as some of the all-around strongest games I've ever played; Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Portal 1, Dead Space 2, and Call of Duty 4. Also, more for nostalgic reasons, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath holds a special place in my heart for being one of the first to show me that games could have things like interesting characters and complex themes, as well as being one the first first person shooters I'd ever played. It was pretty much my favourite game back when I had the original Xbox (naturally, I'm looking forward to its re-release on PSN so I can finally play it again).

I love Baldur's Gate 2 and Arcanum for their massive ambition in world creation and storytelling, especially Arcanum.

I also hold Planescape: Torment on a special pedestal for its incredible writing. IMO it's better written than anything by Bioware (and I'm a Bioware fan).

Oblivion

That game holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first PS3 game I played and I was instantly like ZOMGTHISISTEHBESTESTGAEMEVAH!!!

But anyway when I'd calmed down I really began to appreciate the beauty of it and the level of depth I still often feel when playing it. (It was also my first RPG).

A link to the past is my favorite game of all time, I've beaten that so many times and so many different ways.

Final Fantasy VII is the first game the ever gave me a real emotional reaction.

Chrono Trigger because its a good all around game and the first game (I think) with New Game +.

2 games deserve special mention:

Pacman (I prefer Ms. Pacman) - its just a fun game and the whole purpose is to just enjoy gaming
Tetris - the greatest puzzle game of all time, was created so the creator could sell it to an American company and defect from Russia, and its just a great challenging game

Planescape: Torment is the game I hold above all others.

Wish there were more games set in the Planescape campaign setting, but too bad there is no Black Isle Studios anymore to develop future games for the setting. I think the Planescape (D&D as a whole even) campaign setting is dead too in terms of gaming.

TimeSplitters 2.
Because it's the greatest shooter ever made, I'm pretty sure that's a scientifically proven fact.
Yes! I love that game (Turns around to see it laying on top of my PS2), when I rented it I spent hours and hours on the level builder.
OT: Either Hl2 or Chrono Trigger, nothing out of the usual for this thread, it seems.
