Fable: The Lost Chapters.

One of my first RPGs and the last decent Fable game ever conceived.
This!
It was certainly a timeless game. if I could make one change, it would be that the enrage spell( or whatever it was called) duration was forever too short, though it was such an overpowering high to searing-butter-knife anything.

Screw making new Fables, they just need to expand that old gem.

Though I have completed over 100 RPGs and countless others I hold nothing higher than Xenogears. Like many Final Fantasy 7 got me into JRPGs, but not til years later did I discover my true favorite of all time.

5. Heroes of Might & Magic 2&3 yes they were side games to Might & Magic but they're so wacky and cliche its fun ^.^

4. Timesplitters 2&3 never played the first one, but again the humour atmosphere and culture references made it one of the most fun for fun's sake shooters.

3. Medieval Total war 2, its realistic, fastpaced and seeing an empire slowly grow is satisfying inside.

2. TES Battlespire, it got me into the story-telling wonder that is the Elderscrolls.

1. It's glitchy, badly scripted and doesn't seem to want to decide between survival and classic FPS; but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SOC, CS and COP all lurk away in my computor like a stray dog trying to find a good home XD.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee

My first game for the PSX. Brimming with atmosphere and character, and the first game that made me realize games could be better than movies.

Ultima 7 - the black gate

You can complete miss the plot hooks - or start of the main quest chain and pick them up somewhere else....

Hell I stumbled into the main quest at my own pace, I cheated at roulette and robbed the royal mint...

It was a wonderful game with a nice sense of humor, never really got into the rest of this series mind. But as a free form RPG it rocked

for me conkers bad fur day for most memorable fps type thing, most interesting story goes to the megaman legends series (most basic non branching type of story you can get) , and favorite newer game goes to the saints row series because if you can make your character look like a power ranger ( i did) with a UFO (i did) flying around beating up pimps and small time criminals (i did) that is a good sandbox because after the in game story you can make up your own and that i like about sandbox games

Saints Row 2 is, by me, the best sandbox game I've ever played. I use it as a standard to other sandbox titles.

Donkey Kong Country is my favorite platformer.

Half Life 2 is my favorite FPS.

Game I hold against all others would probably be the portal series.

Head? Audiosurf. It's awesome.
Really? You enjoy it that much? I don't get it at all, collect all the blocks except the black ones.. and you can steer with your mouse.. and when you collect them there's a sound effect that probably has nothing to do with what you're listening to as far as tone and style go :/

Definitely Fallout 3; >.> despite the annoying bugs, It still holds a place in my heart; sinking over 200+ hours into it, (only parallel would be the upcoming Skyrim ;)) maybe that game will join fallout 3 in november :p + EDIT
Another one of those special games would be either MW1 or Halo 3; they came out in a time i was finding my identity as a gamer of sorts ;)

While my favorite game ever is Metro 2033, the game that holds a special place in my heart and soul would be Yoshi's Island, the game that got me into gaming.

Actually, 1997-2011=-14. Basic rule of maths there, take a bigger number from a smaller number and you're left with a negative.

OT, Super Mario World on the SNES was pretty much my childhood. T'was the only decent game at the after school club I had to go to, so, after 7 years of it, I got pretty good at it, and will always have fond memories of it.
