So you've seen threads of what has the best? But what about the worst? The ones where you have to turn the muic off because it's either, so droney, so loud or maybe it just doesn't fit into the games atmosphere or something. What would be your choice?

For me it would be Fallout 3. Except for the main menu music at about 30 seconds in. Of course, the start of that is rather annoying. But the idle, "wandering" music is just so damn annoying.

Guitar hero. I mean... geeze... All we need are bleeps and bloops and yet guitar hero decides to make it a focus that they're messing with the winning formula!

Except the actual theme song, like the one played at the intro.

As much as I love that game, the alternative metal that's constantly playing is really fucking annoying!

It's the one thing I hate about that game, everything else is great, but the heavy metal playing during what is ostensibly pre-Islamic Persia is incredibly off-putting.

That and the American accents. Then again, they spoke with English ones in the first, so maybe the Iranian accent just ain't sexy enough.
Yeah tell me about it. And then they threw it completely off the scale by douching up the main character.

I wasn't too fond of God of war's music.
Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 had no memorable tunes. I regret putting this one.
So MW2 is out. But HL2 soundtrack wasn't the best.

NHL games after 2003. 03 had many songs you can get used to, and maybe like, but everything after that has the majority of TERRIBLE songs. 07 is the only exception, but that might just be because I play it too much.

You know, the only thing I really found annoying about the music in that game is the way it would just die out; as if someone turned it off and forgot to put it back on, just to return after a few minutes of silence. I'm not sure it's supposed to be like that, though, maybe it's just something wrong with my copy.

On topic; I wouldn't really know, I hardly ever play without turning down the sound and putting on some music I can sing loud and off-key to on my laptop.

Star Wars: Force Commander.

Way to butcher classic movie themes there, you guys.

I disagree on both counts, I often listen to the music from both games for fun, not to mention that Modern Warfare 2's music was by Hans Zimmer, of all people.

I for one, however, hate the music in Sonic, especially the 3D games. Especially the ones where Sonic sings.

It's got to be Pro Evolution Soccer. They brought in some at least tolerable (just) music for the 2008 edition, but everything before that was so bad that the first thing to do upon putting a new Pro Evo into the console was to turn the music off, followed shortly by the commentary (although admittedly that lasted for a few days until Trevor Brooking's incessant mockery became too much to bear).

Here's a prime example from Pro Evo 6. Nondescript, but somehow so bad it still manages to make me feel a bit queasy.

Darius Twin on SNES - to this day I can't get one of the level soundtracks out of my head >.>

it's close tie between that and Suikoden 1 (which btw is a pretty awesome game)
