this is simple which franchise do you think needs to be put to bed. I think they need to stop making grand theft auto, i feel the need for its demise mainly because its the same thing over and over again just with new characters,and before anyone feels the need to point it out i know that someone probably did this already im just curious no need to be rude about it

As someone who has been playing Guitar Hero since its release, and someone who has watched it go from sleeper hit to pop-culture phenomenon to dated fad in just three years, I think Activision needs to stop. I don't mind DLC, but Neversoft has milked this franchise to its death.
I don't really think any game franchise needs to die. If you aren't a fan then you certainly don't have to play it and if it still gets made odds are someone out there still likes to play them and who are you to deny them that?
Still, if I had to pick I'd say Final Fantasy... just so that the title would actually have meaning.

Bioshock. I loved the first game, but it sure as hell didn't need a sequel. I played Bioshock 2 and I didn't really like it. It was playable, but the story wasn't very good and the game absolutely had no other meaning otger than make money. I think it would be nice that tge game series would go down in history for the great first game. If they make more, it'll be remembered as the gameseries that had way too many useless sequels.
Well, it was originally going to be Square's last game...but ended up being a success and saving the company. So, it was meant to be final, my all means. They kept the title for recognition, I suppose.Vrex360 said:

I personally am bored of the Halo franchise. I've got nothing against sequels (I think sometimes a latter game can improve on its predecessors) but I've played almost all of them, and apart from some bits in Halo Reach, they've all just seemed like carbon copies with minor graphical upgrades.

With the advent of online, you are either a n00b who gets kicked off after the first round because you suck, or you have no life because you play it 6 hours a day or more.
I also think Madden should go away. Or at least not let them have complete control over the fucking NFL licenses. Madden is just "roster update 20xx" because they have no competition now. At least when 2K sports made licensed NFL games there was something to look forward too.

I'd have to say Final Fantasy. I have been a fan, and a loyal one at that. Fuck i bought a PS3 because I wanted FF13. Then i got it....and all the goodness, and happiness i ever had about the FF franchise died. It was buried, and spit on, and now all i can do is reminisce back when FFX was top of the line and I wasnt 300 bucks in the hole.
