Illusion of Time/Gaia is one of those odd games where it'll be in a top 50 snes games list but you'll mention it to a friend and they'll be like "lol what?"

I still play an old game called Close Combat: A bridge Too Far *goes to check the cd package* well it does say "PC gamer's 1997 best war game of the year" so maybe it is quite well known but I've never heard anyone mention it =/

Also Alice was an ace game - wish there was more playful dark games like that

Magical Drop on the SNES emulator =)

basically, any snes or snk games, everyone i know is like "wtf is that mate?" even king of fighters, garou mark of the wolves, darkstalkers or capcom vs snk, no ones heard of, its totally disturbing, zzzzzzz. Theres also Turbal 2 for the playstation 1 and kula world.

I guess if its not in galaxy world/timezone/timegone than ppl just don't know about it.

Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call. I only bought this because Dante was on the front and it ended up being actually quite a good game. None of my friends had ever heard of this game, but then again they dont play JRPG's as much as I do

Ragnarok Online. I mean, my friend has heard of it, but likes Lineage 2 more, even if he had played RO for a long time. It was opposite in my case - I like both games too, but only RO has a place in my heart.
I've just started reading the Manga of that. Tempted to try the game.

Legend of Dragoon I still play occasionally, but it takes a while to build up, so sometimes I have trouble staying with it for any length of time.

The .hack franchise is by far one of the most underappreciated games I've known. They essentially decided to take the played-out concept of post-apocalyptic games, and found a way to combine it with the burgeoning MMO industry to create something noone had seen before.
The original games were fun, but really tedious, with more level grinding than most actual MMORPGs, but the GU games that just got released were brilliant, if you can get past the fact the the lead character's personality fluctuates between total badass, pathetic emo, and unreasonably anti-social.

Just don't watch the anime, all the .hack anime start off awesome and end worse than the sopranos.

Age of Mythology and TitanQuest.

AoM was one of histories' better RTS games, imo, but nombody else seemed to realize this cuz they were too busy playing "cool" RTS' like C&C or Warcraft. Me and my friends played it though, faithfully, for the better part of 6 years.

TitanQuest is just a good game, albeit a Diablo Clone, but a good Diablo Clone, probably the best Diablo Clone out there. For some reason it's a joke among my friends, even though they've never even played it.

.... guess.

No seriously try to guess what I am about to say. Seriosouly minimise the window before you read the rest of the post, think back to some of my previous posts and try to remember what old game I talk about a lot.
Seriously guess.

<Otogi: Myth of Demons>

Yeah mentioning that one again, one day I'll have mentioned it the appropriate number of times for it to make people very aware of it's existence.

Anyone heard of Netstorm: Islands at War? A pretty innovative and very different RTS game from Activision. Pretty old as well, 1998 or something, but I liked it a lot.
