What game series do you wan't to kill? (painfully)

Tie between Sonic and the planned Too Human trilogy.

Too Human isn't a trilogy yet. I have high hopes that the abject failure of the first will make someone at Silicon Knights see some sense and explain that the idea of Too Human 2 would be the stupidest idea ever. However, given Dyacks track record in actually listening to reason, I think it's possible he will just carry on with that dreadful series.

The UT series should be buried. It is already dead, people just keep on trying to play with its corpse in a rather undignified way.

That's why i said it was planned. I hope to God the series is canceled and the designer is shot.

Secondly, I just realised something. Getting rid of all Japanese game series would probably result in a bout 99-100% of games being ended. Mario: Japanese. Legend of Zelda: Pretty sure that's Japanese.
Many of the games that inspired today's gaming were Japanese. Therefore, without these games, most gaming would probably cease to exist. Or we'd at least be trapped in the Atari era.

I never defended JRPG's. I myself believe that they've been extremely pointless ever since Disgaea.

At the risk of beating some dead horses:

- Tomb Raider and Sonic both need to be put down for the good of all concerned - all Tomb Raider games are the same and Sonic has decayed beyond repair.
- Call of Duty still produces quality but needs to have more time between each installment.
- I'll accept a new Mario/Metroid/Zelda game, but only one per console - stop pumping out spinoffs.
- Halo needs to be put to rest - three average games are enough.
- I really don't think we need Mercenaries 3 or Army of Two 2 (God I hope that name changes).
- Final Fantasy. Enough is enough.
- Metal Gear Solid. Rest in peace you preachy, overwritten pile of tripe.

On other hands, I will allow Dead Space/Bioshock/Assassin's Creed/No More Heroes all one more game before judgment is passed, and will grudgingly give Saints Row a third installment - but no more.

And I am amused by how the tone of my post makes me sound like I am the arbiter of the video game industry - a post we should create.
