What game series do you wan't to kill? (painfully)

Tomb raider 1 and 2 were actually good(and not just for having the greatest animated tits avaible at the time), but every title after those should be H-bombed along with the creators!

Have you ever played a couple of Mario games? There's more innovation and change between two successive games in that franchise than there is in most entire franchises.

I think if series start to end at number 3 or 4(like people are suggesting) then you are reducing the amount of great games on the Market.Look at the amount of truly great series that became better as they aged.Mario 64 revolutionised 3-d platforming.Resident evil 4 is considered one of the greatest games of all time as is Zelda Orcarina of time.Most peoples favourite Final Fantasies are 6/7/8.Metal gear solid 4, Grand theft Auto 4 and Fallout 3 pretty much won between them every game of the year award available.Call of Duty 4 is one of the best online shooters ever made.With quality developers the series can go on as long as they like i think.

On the other side of that argument is the constant re-packaging of drivel like Tomb raider and most thinks EA touch(Not Dead Space).Personally I think Sonic needs to die before the once great name is soiled even further.Need for speed can explode for all i care aswell.

I don't necessarily want to kill a franchise. I'd like if people were less fanatical about something being awesome and could just step back and look at it if it was something else.

But I suppose that applies to many games, and I can't really say which is best.



But if I had to pick something, I'd go with Halo.
