What game series have you loved and followed from the beginning?

Age Of Empires, played the demo of the first game in preschool, still LANs AOE2 the conquers with some friends now and then. Was very sad when they shut down Ensemble Studios. Why were they assigned to make a crappy halo rts game?

It's one of those series that I will always play for nostalgic value...and cause it's awesome

So far, only two: Pokemon (handhelds only) and Pikmin. Lack of news concerning Pikmin 3 at the last E3 disappointed me like you wouldn't believe. The one game I'm actually ecstatic about playing, and the only things I had to settle for were Metroid and Zelda. *cries*

I've been playing the Legend of Zelda games since back in the good ole' days of the NES.

The Suffering, a little known gem on PS2, GCN, Xbox, etc. One of the scariest concepts for a horror game ever. Now it's freeware, and the fandom rejoiced.
Then the sequel, The Suffering: Ties that Bind came out. Not the same experience, and some ideas fell completely flat, but it made the idea of having multiple BEGINNINGS, not just endings. This was five years before Mass Effect 2.
There aren't any plans for a third game (that I know of), as the story has been completely ended. However, a movie is going to be made. I'm skeptical, though.

The legend of Zelda series it started with Ocarina of time and then when i got my GC i got the Zelda collecotrs edition so i could play the first games to and since then i have followd the series

Lufia, Disgaea, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Halo, Neverwinter Nights with all the expansions. A few others. Probably one of my favorites of all time has been the Lufia series though.
