What game series(s?) should make a comeback?

Phantasy Star, not Online, not Universe. I mean Phantasy Star the awesome RPG series that went unnoticed on the Genesis since everyone thinks all the best RPGs went to SNES.

I meant abe-is-dead as a metaphorical "Yes, bring back oddworld, but leave the past in the past. or team up abe and Stranger. T'would be hilarious. I can imagine one scene where they fight over the first pair of pants they come across...

I never played Stranger's Wrath, but Oddworld without Abe is like, well..................Oddworld without Abe.

Then again, I'd already be happy if they'd release Abe's Oddyssey on PSS in Europe. But NOOOOOOOOOO.

Just get for PC on steam...

Really? It took 100 posts before someone said Syndicate??? AND ONLY ONE PERSON DID?!?I am so disappointed in humanity right now.

X-com. Oh wait, it has so many spiritual successors, open-source remakes and whatnot, that it's never actually gone down.

But now for the Good News:
And to both of ya'll, there are rumors that Irrational Games' "Unannounced Triple-A title"- sometimes referred to as 'Project Icarus' is an X-com reboot. I guess time will tell if you get your wish or not.

Personally, if you asked me to pick only one franchise, what I would want to see is the team that worked on Dead Space and Dante's Inferno handed the System Shock franchise, since their EA and EA has been sitting on that IP for years now...

X-Com, I'd love it if they "rebooted" the series, IMO the first game was the best of the series (both story and gameplay) and if they did it with modern graphics and updated controls it could be exceptional.

Shawdowrun, there is a lot of potential in the franchise that hasn't been properly utilized in video games.

At least not since the Genesis. Good lord I loved that game. I still think it's the best tabletop -> videogame translation.
