Myst. Most tragic thing is, till now the company (privately owned) has been basically going through development hell, involving all but two of its employees being layed off at one point.

Bionic Commando for the NES.

Seriously, they should totally bring that back next gen style, with awesome swinging physics like the Spider-Man games in a 3d environment. Nathan "Rad" Spencer, all decked out with a cool and sleek bionic arm and his military duds and hair, killing faceless army guys and the re-animated head of Adolf Hitler!

I haven't kept up so I may have missed new releases but the Shining Force series, the Ogre Battle series, the Clay Fighter series, the Pilotwings series, and the Vandal Hearts series.

I want to see a Shadowrun that's in the vein of the NES game, not that crap that came out a few years ago.

It would be neat to see a re-release of the first generation of Ace Combat games. They could easily be fleshed out or updated to fit into the timeline more cleanly now that the world is much more defined than the arcade-y days of the series. If nothing else, they could settle a bunch of bets about whether Kei Nagase is a robot, clone, or just different generations in a family.

The big draw would be Electrosphere, though. It's by far the most unique game of the series, but its American release saw most of the story and all of the (reportedly beautiful) cutscenes ripped out of it. It would be great to see it released in America as it should have been.

Legacy of Kain. Sadly, with Amy Hennig over at Naughty Dog, this will probably never happen.

A new Jet Set Radio would also rock.

Duke Nukem...

:p

Ok no in all seriousness Nexus Jupiter Incident, as the developers were so far ahead technically with the game and it was an amazing flight simulation action game in space.

The story also has left room for expansion and to make matters worse the tech demo they released for Nexus 2 which they were unable to find a publisher for to fund the game due to Nexus 1 not doing so well (probably due to lack of advertising and due to too many bugs)

Can't really think of any others most of the awesome games I can think of have already had new ones in the franchises or still has new games on their way. I would like to see a KOTOR 3 some time sooner than it will be coming out though, as BioWare is busy with SWTOR and after which we will have to see if they start work on KOTOR 3 or not...
dont forget mass effect three!, i expect kotor to be after swtor and mass effect 3
ah yes :p

but i wonder when Mass Effect 3 will be released, it could still arrive before SWTOR. It is mainly the KOTOR team which is working on SWTOR and I think the ME 3 team is splitting their time between SWTOR and ME3, this is just a guess and I have no factual basis for it ;)

Half-Life. Maybe someday we'll get another "episode."
Beat me to it.

I don't know if i want any of my old beloved game series to make a come back, developers have a strange knack for destroying great games with terrible sequels.
