Dino Crisis. I absolutely loved the first two games but never played the third one but I heard it was set in space, was crap and basically it's not Dino Crisis without Regina.
If they brought it back, would it lose the Resident Evil - esque camera angles or would it be like RE4 and have a good OTS view?

X-wing games.

Hell, the space combat simulator genre for all I care, and not the arcade ones like Rogue Squadron, I mean the ones where you sit in a cockpit and manage your fighter's power distribution while shooting down torpedoes aiming for your exhaust pipe and chasing down tie fighters, interceptors, and bombers going for your capital ship which is also engaged with the enemy capital ship which is 50% more powerful and bigger than your capital ship.
Yeah. I'd bring this back too. It ruled back then, it would rule even harder now. Still one of the best games I have ever played.

Kingdom Hearts
What, so I just hallucinated all those recent Kingdom Hearts games, including the one coming out for 3DS?
I never enjoyed the DS versions as much as the PS2 versions. The DS versions visit the same lands as the PS2 versions, what I would like is for them to actually do some new lands, like Pixar or some of their lesser liked movies (Atlantis or Treasure Planet) which could revive the interest in the current child fanbase and cause an increase in the films. How many times can we visit Agrabah? Though I have to admit I didn't play the last Kingdom Hearts game

Freespace.

Or, hell, the entire Space-sim genre. Yeah, it is kinda still here with Egosoft and the X-series, and there's a couple of little blips like Evochron Mercenary and SOL, but man, what I'd give to have another proper Freespace and/or Freelancer game...

Also Metal Arms.

You deserved better dammit...

The creator had a whole trilogy planned too.
Definately Metal Arms and Legacy of Kain.

But also i think Crash Bandcicoot, but NOT the way the guys did with Mind Over Mutant, a new Crash game should be done with the characters keeping their original designs and personalities from the earlier games.

Also, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, if I remember right, it had only 2 games in its short history, at least one more game wouldn't hurt.

And also the Deception francise,. had a decent run for afew years but I think gets abit over-looked too much.

I immediately read the thread-title as "What game series would bring you back from the dead?" and I was very curious to see what games people thought were so good they would defy even death itself to come back to play, but alas.

Anyway!

I want more "Beyond Good and Evil" games.
Then Primal, if the future protagonists would be as cool as Jennifer.
Also, I'd like for The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3 to get her own spin-off game based around her younger years. She's just awesome.

Lastly, and people are probably going to throw eggs at me for saying this, but I'd like a continuation of the storyline in Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. The game itself might have had a lot of... unforgiable flaws, maybe, but I'm a huge sucker for stories with biblical themes and the music and atmosphere were amazing.

I'm thinking either a resi 4 style or one similar to batman where outside of combat it is over you're shoulder the zooms out for the combat.

I would resurrect Wasteland with a fully reimagined and updated version of the original. It would be like what Mr. Fargo did with The Bard's Tale, only not suck.

That was actually meant to happen [http://www.unseen64.net/2011/07/25/crash-bandicoot-2010-cancelled-xbox-360-ps3-wii/], but it was canceled because of Activision laying off the team working on it. Also, as a correction, the character redesigns happened with Crash of the Titans (Mind Over Mutant was the sequel to Titans).

Tenchu could use a reboot too, and I mean a real reboot. Tenchu Z doesn't count, I don't know what they were thinking when they drafted that idea but I couldn't get through half of it, complete disconnect from the original. Not that embarking from the original game is a bad idea, but it has to be, well, an improvement.
I too was definitely thinking Tenchu. The series died with wrath of Heaven, which was one of my favourite titles of yesteryear. Tenchu Z was amusing online, but I felt like it had no soul, and I know From Software is capable of so much more.

Either that or give me a next gen multiplayer high quality Shinobido that doesn't require a handheld console.

Tenchu Shadow Assassins doesn't count. That game was poo (wii)

I'd still like to see Onimusha again also. But, having returned to the last few incarnations of the series, the game engine definitely needs something.... more... to shake off the repetitive redundancy.

So there it is. Acquire, From Software, Capcom.... Get to work! Call me!

I got 3 choices

1. Geist-it was a crazy fun game, and getting to do what you could then, with what we can add to that now, ghostly beings would be super awesome
2. Sly Cooper-I know we're getting a Sly 4, and I'm excited, but I have this scared feeling it won't be as good as my favorite game of the franchise, Sly 2, because it's a new studio, and I don't know if they'll keep the same story telling going. I would pay double to have Sucker Punch make it
3. Jet Set Radio Future-anyone who's heard of this game knows what I'm talking about. Game was crazy fun, had pretty good in game music, and was a blast to play. Why have the gaming gods not blessed us with a new rollerblading, spray-painting, and stickin' it to the man game? I'd pay to have this made, only the villi ans are no longer just police, you could run through office buildings and take out the greedy corporations that buy up series and do things like they did to Metal Arms

KotOR III

a PROPER KotOR III that is, EA can go fuck it self. And yes, I know Bioware would be making it, but Obsidian did a better job than they did. And the guy who has the money writes the rulebook.
