I would argue Silent Hill was a "serious" attempt, and it was a piece of crap that totally missed the point of the games.ciortas1 said:Because nobody ever really tried it seriously.Mother Yeti said:The Road Warrior and Lord of the Rings have already been made.
The answer is absolutely none. The two genres don't mix well. No game property has ever been improved by a movie.
Just giving you a heads up but all of these are films lolAvsJoe said:Super Mario Bros!
Silent Hill!
Resident Evil!
Double Dragon!
Street Fighter!
Alone in the Dark!
House of the Dead!
These would make great movies!
EDIT: ooh ooh I have more! What about Hitman? Max Payne? Postal? Resident Evil 2? Tomb Raider? Dead or Alive? Doom? Wing Commander? Bloodrayne? These would *all* make great movies!
I actually liked Resident Evil, Hitman, and Doom myself. But none of these are great or even good movies. I am told that there are a couple of good ones out there but I haven't seen one.Sonicron said:The sarcasm is strong with this one...AvsJoe said:Super Mario Bros!

Still, I liked Silent Hill, Hitman and Doom.
Yeah... I'm just gonna assume that the one with Mark Wahlberg didn't happen either. They used Ludicrous, LUDICROUS as a police officer! I'd dismiss that one too.Summerstorm said:Hm... Max Payne would be a cool movie. Too bad no one made one yet. NO ONE!
Some games really would be a nice movie... but there are some complications, mostly in (with) the minds of the writers/producers. (These "small changes" which ruin everything) - For example Doom weren't really half-bad (there was not that much to destroy... but then: DAMN EVIL GENES? i want f****** demons)
