Delta Force for the PC . . . sneaking through remote parts of 3rd world countries and sniping at enemies has never been so fun o_O

To be honest, I'd agree with Snieeke (hope I spelled it right).

Shadowrun gets my first choice, as I was originally introduced to the game by playing the text and dice version. Unfortunately, by the time I was about 16, just about everyone i knew at the time suddenly became entirely uninterested, and started playing other games (mostly on consoles). About that time I discovered that Shadowrun had been made into a console game for the SNES. I promptly downloaded an emulator and the game rom and started playing to be entirely dissappointed as the graphics made my eyes hurt and the UI was even worse.

To my great pleasure, I then heard of the newly released Shadowrun for the PC by macrosuck and thought, hey, someone finally got the idea to remake a game that potentially could be a gold-mine. Only this time, I was even more dissappointed as the entire game was multiplayer first person shooting with a few magical and techno gadgets thrown in so they could use the name. If you've played HALO online, you've played this one too, sad as that is.

I'd like to end this with a positive note, and hopefully someone out there will actually listen. Remake ShadowRun in it's full text and dice glory, give us the ability to make our own characters, give it a UI that is workable (most likely on the PC for use of the mouse) and lastly, give it some thought, and turn it into an MMORPG. I bet it'd do fantastically, and I'd be willing to shell out the $15 a month to relive those times.

Anyway, I'm going to say a Thief 3 revamp with map style like Assassin's Creed would be sweet. Though they'd cock it up somehow. It's just of them games that be made of pure awesome.
Man that would be sweet! I share your pessimism about them being able to pull it off without ruining it.

If by remake u mean the same exact gameplay only better graphics then I would have to say Brave Fencer Musashi (PS1).
That game was the shit!

I'm going to say Theif 2 since that's before they screwed it up. And add the few good features from Thief 3, and shoot the people who designed most of them.

Instead of a remake of Shenmue, I'd love to see Shenmue 1&2 coupled with a a new Shenmue that concludes the series. They would be playable seamlessly from beginning of Shenmue through the end of Shenmue 3 with entirely remade graphics and controls optimized for the system it's on; I'd say ps3 since the blu ray is most capable of holding all this on one disc.
To keep players from needlessly playing Shenmue 1&2 over again, the game should have a chapter selection thingy like in the New alone in the Dark, or a Quiz mini game that asks you important storyline questions and then unlocks the new game.
That would be amazing. However, if it tanked, it might be the end of Sega forever, but I could live with that and die happy knowing how the series ends. I know that this will never happen. The best we'll ever get is a dvd movie possibly in dreamcast realtime that finishes off the story, and SEGA's even canceled that for the time being from what I understand.

I bet a 3d remake of FF6 will eventually come out on the DS, or if it take too long, Nintendo's next portable system. FF4 comes out in a month. It looks decent, but I kinda prefer the sprites over the 3d style. Regardless, FF4 on ds certainly isn't worse than the original, which si by far the weakest out of the 3 Final Fantasies originally on Super Nintendo. Still, FF6 in 3d would be nothing short of amazing if done well.

A good remake of the original Xenogears would be nothing short of Epic. I love the combat system. So, really all that needs changing is the graphics and possible throw in the occasional good voice acting, and we're set.

With the Metal Gear Series at a close, the most obvious choice for further milking the franchise would be to make 3d remakes of Metal Gear 1&2 (originally for the MSX). I know that I'd play those games. I think Kojima really wants to move onto something else though. On one hand, we'll get less franchise milking, but on the other, we also get less fan service.

To those who want an FF7 remake: do you just want the graphics updated, or do you want a re-translation as well?
If you don't want a re-translation, do you want them to leave in lines like "This guy are sick"?
Also, is the graphical style in Crisis Core, Advent Children, and the Ps3 tech demo acceptable, or do you need a grittier less anime-like style?
Finally, are there ANY elements in the actual gameplay that need to be changed? Personally, I think the game's beginning is far too slow. It takes way too long to get out of Midgar.

FF7 of course.

But since that has already been thrown out repeatedly, I think the Monster Rancher franchise started very good but took a turn for the worst. With updated technology, I think they could change it somewhat away from getting monsters off of movies, music, and other games to files placed strategically around the internet. It would be a form of internet scavenger hunt. More exploitable than discs, but more affordable than buying up a copy of Baseketball to unlock a monster.

Morrowind, but with current-gen graphics (maybe a bit less bloom) and the Oblivion combat/skill system (though I'd still like to see Spears etc. back in the game as well).
It'd be better if they just made another game. But yeah, I get where you're coming from. I'd be more willing to play Morrowind if the combat system wasn't arse.

I agree. I loved Morrowind, though the combat-system was quite bad. That didn't stop me however.. I lost a great deal of my life to it.. :p

for the sake of just remaking a game: Fable without Peter Molyneux. Or just keep him quite all together from here on out.

Oh, come on, the combat system in Morrowind was great. Much better than other rpgs at the time, Oblivion moved away from being an rpg. It just seems too complicated for people to understand that an rpg can be played from Morrowinds perspective.

I'd like to see a remake of System Shock 2, but instead of improving existing features and making the game better, removing several of the best parts of the game and setting it underwater. Waitasec...
