I also looking forward to Diablo 3, Another World (that Studio Ghibli game), The Last Story and maybe Transformer: Fall of Cybertron (if they release it for the PC).

Well for AAA games I would go with Bioshock Infinite, it looks like it may rival the original Bioshock for atmosphere.

There are also several indie games whose development I've been watching. Fez, for example, is looking especially amazing.

Guild wars 2 so so so much.
Skyrim (it released in the middle of my exams, which end early february. Hence it hasn't released yet in my mind)
End of nations has potential, but depending on a lot of little things it could just as easily flop.

And mass effect 3 has been giving me some meaningful looks, but I don't know if it's worth catching up on 2 full games and a ton of DLC.

I recently finished paying off my Mass Effect 3 CE pre-order, but there are plenty of other games that I'm looking forward to this year.

X:Com Enemy Unknown: I liked the original when I bought it off Steam last year, but the clunky U.I. stopped me from really getting into it. That minor quibble looks to be fixed by the geniuses at Firaxis in their amazing looking re-imagining.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Go play the demo, you'll see why.

Bioshock Infinite: One of the best parts about gaming is the culture around it. It's the social interactions that arise from even a single player game like Skyrim, where I and a friend IRL or a stranger on the web can spend forever talking about all the cool quests we've embarked on.
Bioshock Infinite; with it's promise of a deep, affecting story, unique setting, and commentary on politics looks to be a game that will be talked about for a long time. And I personally want to be one of the people doing the talking.

The Last Guardian and my interest is piqued by the Last of Us. I'm waiting for Journey and I have Mass Effect 3 on pre-order from amazon even though I'm apparently not supposed to love Bioware or Mass Effect anymore.

I cannot wait for Far cry 3 so long as they fixed all the problems with far cry 2.
Soul Calibur V is on my list but I will prob wait for that one.
Aliens Colonial marines looks promising as long as it's actually scary and has a long campaign. Stalker 2 is a big one to but not so sure if its coming out in 2012 but if it does it will be a priority.
Borderlands 2 but that may have to wait after some reviews.
Mass effect 3 maybe but might wait on that.
Silent hill downpour will hopefully be good.
That seems to be about it for now until more things get announced.

Mass Effect 3 for me and Borderlands 2. I had my pre-order lined up for the limited edition of Mass Effect since late July and I was planing to go to the mid-night release but my school decided to make my ACT's start the same day. It made me very sad face

I'm also looking forward to Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 3 Portable. Not exactly new games, but I got them and I'm loving Persona, so I can't wait to play them.

I have been waiting for a new Kid Icarus game since I realized Pit was in Super Smash Bros: Brawl, so that's kind of the most important release. Other than that, Mass Effect 3, Guild wars 2, and if everything goes to plan, Pikmin 3.
