I got one, the Paramites from the oddworld games freaked me out when I was younger.

Being a Metroid fan has got me curious about this, is there a story there?

The Lickers from Resident Evil 2. One day, the power went out while me and my brother were playing it in the basement. All I remember was us screaming and shielding ourselves with the pillows on the couch.

When I first saw this (starting at 0:50) as a little kid, I ran from the room screaming...

As a kid? That thing under my bed. I was probably 20 before I could sleep with my feet uncovered lest it reach out and grab me.. As for what video games? Well.. how about tv? I was shit scared of sleestaks but I watched anyway due to my crush on Holly.

The Flood from Halo made me shit my pants.

I couldn't beat a couple of the levels without a buddy, and only if it was in the day time.
Same here...

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's Bottom of the Well and Shadow Temple levels.
The Redead scared me.

Zombies still creep me out like mad. I generally stay away from horror games and movies.
I tried to play BioShock, but it gave me too much anxiety. I was moving so slowly, peeking around corners and then running away if I saw ANYTHING move. Didn't enjoy it, so I quit. And I was 20 when I tried it out. I'm just a really jumpy person (if you sneak up behind me, you will get hit hard - can't help it)

the game Chex Quest if you can believe it

I couldn't get past the first level because it freaked me out. It was years before I rediscovered it, dusted it off, and started playing it.

The redead in LoZ:OoT, the dogs through the window in RE, yeah, but the first one to scare me was Mike Tyson.

He beat the fear into me. Over and over and over and over....

'Dynamite punches', indeed.

The Moon in The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask.
Seriously, it's fucking creepy, at least it was when I were younger.

Also, Half-Life 2's Ravenholm and the tunnel level in the "Highway 17" chapter.
Running around in a dark tunnel with zombies in your heels, they make creepy sounds. o_O

Resident Evil (PS) scared the living out of me.

Now I look at it and I am quite embarrassed that those 'shapely graphics' had such an effect on my mind.

The nazis in wolfenstein 3d. The game didn't have too many sounds so there were no sounds of walking or talking until the nazis saw you, typically when you turned a corner and were looking down the pixelated barrel of a nazi pistol and the sound of "ACHTUNG" blasting you in the face.

I lost the game... you bastard.

Halo scared me as a kid, namely the flood.
It's ok, the game doesn't excist, because of rule 34...errr, not that I've checked or anything

As a kid whenever I walked past it in a store I'd get very creeped out.
My god! this a thousand times!! I played that game, having it in third-person view (it's swappable from 1st to 3rd person) made it a tiny bit less scary though, but thinking that each of the enemies in that game got executed in a horrifying way that made them come back in their special way made the game the creepiest thing I have ever played...

The shark in that one beach-esque level in Banjo Kazooie. Every time I fell into the water I'd freak out because I knew that damn shark was coming.

The pink smoke in the first Alone in the Dark scared me. The music just kicks in and the thing chases you around the room which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't move like a geriatric. Then you find out that none of your weapons do any damage.
