Revealing my age i pissed my pants at: Shadowcaster one of the first FPS/RPG experiences of my life...

...Ironically i was most afraid of dying cause the skull of the player looked rather evil. Oh and Silent Hill 1 was nice but not so frightening, more messing with your head.Oh and the first time i played through Resident Evil 2...That was it for all times...

A Duke Nuke game (cant remember the complete title), where you played Duke in third person ... the thing that scared me were those big-ass brain octopuses that let out a creepy noise when you killed them

Croc.

...

...SHUDDUP I was 5 at the time and everytime something hit me I thought it was like the end of the world.

Either that or my very first 'boss battle' in crash Bandicoot. Again, I started gaming very early.

The graveyard level from Medievil. Never got past it. I think it was those "things" crawling around.

Gnomes in the Harry Potter games...what? They wanted to steal my hard earned jelly beans/money/rabbit droppings.
Totally agree, hated them little things. Trying to steal your hard-earned beans...Also the fact that they never seemed to die terrified me as a kid.

Other than that, I'd have to say F.E.A.R 2 scared me shitless a few years back.

The face huggers from Duke Nukem 3D, for those who don't know them, me describing them as a cross between a moving pile of gone off cabbage and puke with teeth THAT CRUNCHES ON YOUR FACE doesn't sound scary at all. They're pretty evil fuckers though as far as facehuggers go, unless it's a door/barrier blocking their path there's pretty much nowhere they can't reach since they can switch from the floor to the ceiling at will. To this day I have hearing like a bat when comes to the strange call they make when they're in an area, I'd rather blow myself up then have to watch another face rape.

I thought I was being childish, that is until me and a friend got the 360 version and he freaked out even worse then me the first time he saw one hehe

When i was younger, the aliens and facehuggers from AVP2 scared me a lot...Tough when i could see them, i wasn't scared. It was the waiting, the sudden silence, and then BOOM! right out of the backdoor, where you didn't even look, they come...
I was scared. Basically the whole marine campaign freaked me out. But great game, :D

As a kid I never got scared from videogame enemies. It didn't help that the scariest game I played at an early age was was some 2D survival shooter in which you had to fight your way through a monster infested house, and each time you died you got a horrible little animation of how the monster in question killed you. I never finished it, it was too damned hard, not too scary. But the creepiest, or at least most annoying one, was a green glob that jumped all over the place, clung to the ceiling all that. It instagibbed you when it got you, melting your face in the animation. I wasn't so much scared, just incredibly annoyed if one instagibbed me again.

The only enemy that freaked me out when I first saw it was this asshole when I was about 12:

That blood curtling scream. I didn't know what to expect when I first saw them. It looked all okay, and then WAM it opened those empty eyes and started screaming. *shudder* I played OoT after WW, and the ReDead in OoT were puppies compared to those horrible monsters.

The Mad Piano from Big Boo's Haunt in Mario 64 comes to mind. I just wanted the red coin...

The T-Rex in Tomb Raider 2. I was really freaked out, considering that it wasn't exactly a monster as such. I was fairly young (don't remember the exact age but I'd only really played point and click adventure games before that) and just getting used to actual danger in games, dying of wolves and falling off ledges... and then WTF IT'S A MASSIVE DINOSAUR.

Also there was some cartoony first person dungeon thing I played once and only once - I took about two steps and started losing life and it took me a good couple of seconds to figure out something was eating me from behind and I was just standing there. When I turned around it was this hideous bear-zombie-thing (I don't remember what it actually was). I still can't deal with first person games...

The Bone guys in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that showed up if you ever roamed the open fields at night.
Yeah, I avoided traveling during the night in that game when I was younger. They were so unexpected.

I'd have to say the original AvP aliens on the marines campaign... I would turn around to see one about to maul me and I screamed like a lil girl...

The regenerator scared me enough, but then they added fucking spikes.

Well, the Re-deads(?) in Ocarina of Time. I think I had my sister play through those parts.
And, more embarrassingly, the parts in Super Mario 64 where you walk towards the picture of Toadstool and it turns into Bowser. I had to hide behind the couch.
