well since i did search bar for worst games and found actually none that went past 1 line asking whats yours, i though i might as well. then i thought, why be like every one and ask about the worst game, when you can hate a part of your favorite game, like i do:

in my favorite game of all time, Kotor, i hated the final boss fight (Darth Malak) as a dark jedi, i couldn't beat him. i tried so many times before i yelled fuck you, and didn't play for a year. then i re-beat the game with a light side character and in one try beat Malak on the same difficulty...

so i ask what game did you get so angry/frustrated/annoyed with, that the window down 2 stories to the lawn, or hell was where the game was about to go?

Half life 2. Everyone spent a good amount of time telling me how amazing it was until I finally played it. Adequate. I don't buy adequate, I buy great or better.

Malak was a ***** and a half, wasn't he?

Right now for me, it's beating True Arena on Kirby Super Star Ultra. The game is easy overall, but having to beat 10 tougher-than-normal bosses with nothing but a few measly little partial-health tomatoes to help you, it's tough shit.

Also, I'd have to say one of the final levels in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn where you
have to fight Dheginsea, the King of the Dragons. He has an army of Dragon Laguz at his side, and good GOD are they fucking strong. Still beat it, though, after many tries.

The final fight in the arcade fighter Guilty Gear X2 #Reload put me off playing any game by Arc System Works for nearly five years.

On the absolute other end of that scale, the lead tech designer on that project was able to one-shot Malak with his build. A little powergaming goes a long way sometimes.

Lego Racers, circuit numbers 3, 6 and 7.
Especially the last one.
They're done on the hardest tracks in the game against bosses who move faster than you and use the best power-ups in the game.
When I was very very young I gave up on #3 and pledged not to play it for a couple of years.
I reneged and beat the game. Then I got a new PC. Beat the game. Then I got another new PC...

You are going to get a lot of posts from people who just read the title and not the first post, btw.

The Witcher is one of the best games I have played in years - I haven't been able to sink my teeth into an RPG like this since Knights of the Old Republic (hell, earlier, if I'm honest). But god damn is this game an example of poor planning and programming. Even the massively improved Enhanced Edition takes longer than I'd like to load, and there are all kinds of absolutely moronic decisions, such as the fact that the game creates a new save file every single time you hit the quicksave key - compounded by the fact that savegames can be hundreds of megabytes.

The mutated Protopet boss at the end of Ratchet and Clank 2. You absolutly cannot kill it without shelling out billions of bolts for the second RYNO, which makes the fight laughably easy.

Visions on Rock Band 2. It is hard as hell, and geuss what? It sounds fucking horrendous too. Death Metal is not fun to listen too, and making it one of the most unbearable songs to play doesn't help as well.
Death metal is very fun to listen to if you get it... (does growl)

I think a few people already know that I absolutely despised the combat in the new POP.

Shitty reaction based QTE ridden bossfights that took an age and had to be repeated five times.

Truly maddening, that was one sequence of 1's and 0's that spelled S-H-I-T.

Getting past the first boss in Blackwing Lair (I forget his name, I quit WoW two years ago) was miserably difficult. The second one wasn't any easier. I really liked the instance, but it was fucking hard.

That's is, I'm never listening to musical suggestions from you if you think Death Metal is cool.

Oh god, POP. The Platforming just barely made up for it, but no, the ending had to screw it all up.
You enjoy your alt rock, I'll be in the corner with At The Gates on connecting with my inner primitive ape and getting an endorphin buzz better than any drug.

far cry 2 was spectaculaer for me, but i swear i dont think ive ever been more frustrated by the driving than anything else. it whould have been so much more bearable if you chould warp to safe houses or something. also, the respawning gaurd posts. i waste all my amo, have to switch to a crappy degraded gun, and waste all my syringes on something that will just revert in 2 minuets.

Lego racers for the fucking win!

Remember the "Draco the Dragon" level? You HAD to be a master of powersliding for that one.
