EVE-online.

I played it for a good 4 years.

Non MMO would be the Final Fantasy games.
when you say 4 years do you actually mean you have a 4 year play time?

on topic- proboby oblivian with 300+ hours, with cod4 2nd with 10days and fallout 3 probobly on about 150+ hours
Nah thats how long my sub was overall. But I wouldnt be surpised if I actually spent over an actual year in game time, I was on it almost every night for a good 6 to 8 hours for the first 2 years I played it. I spent less and less time on it after that though until I only logged on to change skills.

Collectively, probably the Pokemon series. Lowest time for each game is around 15 hours for a single playthrough, current game is at 400 hours.

World of Warcraft for sure.

Oh also Oblivion. Finished the 2 expansions and I STILL found a lot to do in it. Oh but that's just the beginning, there are loads of Mods out there which add more than 50 or so hours to Oblivion, maybe even more.

For me, its Pokemon - the entire main series must have taken up well over 300, maybe 400 hours of my life altogether, and I haven't even finished Platinum yet.

Other ones that have taken up a large portion of my life were Dragon Quest VIII - clocked up 90 hours play time on that - Final Fantasy VI, VII, X, X-2 and XII, and Fable.

Oh, and the Metal Gear Solid series, although a lot of that has been watching the cutscenes in-game feature-length films.

Also, the Kingdom Hearts games have stolen large portions of my life as well.

:( Embarrassingly enough, I have to say the Harvest Moon series. I am playing Rune Frontier currently.

Final Fantasy XI.

Three hundred and ninety two hours, sixteen minutes.

Then my parents split up and I had no access to the computer anymore...

Probably for the best, really.

Well if we're including series then it's probably between Metal Gear Solid and FIFA, however for individual games, I'd say it's between Mass Effect, Oblivion and Time Splitters 2.

World of Warcraft certainly. Other contenders are Kingdom Hearts series and Warcraft 3 online.

For the consoles... FF VII took over a hundred at least..
Oblivion over 200 at least...
about the same for Fallout 3...

And on the internet ISW took more than a month of my life if I had played it constantly...
But it was worth it :D

PSO Episode 1&2. Easily spent 1000+ hours on it.
And that's just my offline play time, Never played online.
Best multiplayer game ever?!

Warcraft III (Read: DotA) is 1,700 hours and counting, with Oblivion running a close second.
Fear me.

TES IV Oblivion. Must be close to 1000 hours I've spent on it
Just a question, but how did you manage to spend over 100 hours on that game? These so little to do in it, and for all the hard work you put into a character, none of it is shown due to the npc level system.

All the paradox strategy games. Europa Universalis 1-3, Crusader Kings, Victoria, and Hearts Of Iron II (and now three) have taken up my life so much I can now name and locate on a map every country in the world and have worked out 17 perfectly working ways to invade France.
Well what the hell are we waiting for then? Gather the troops!
