I completed Final Fantasy X 100%, which I chose to do for fun and not for bragging rights. Dodging lightning bolts is one of the more tedious, gaming, related activities I've ever engaged in though.

No damage runs. If you manage to take no damage at all for an entire game, you will earn my respect as a gamer pretty quickly. Goes double if you play on the highest possible difficulty. There aren't many games where it can be done (mostly action games that aren't 3D shooters) but it's impressive regardless of the game or genre.

[HEADING=3]Mass Effect 2 - No One Left Behind[/HEADING]
Achievement unlocked for 75G
Keep your team alive through the suicide mission
This is the achievement I worked hard for recently (I own an Xbox 360). Despite if the internet holds answers as to how you can obtain this step by step, there's still risks and chances a team mate can die thus you have to do more then just be nice or strict with someone in order for them to respect you throughout the end.

Love it, shows how far I went to save everyone. Also shows how much i've bonded with these characters that share the Normandy with me, that they're worth doing favors for even if it's a pain in the butt. Otherwise I wouldn't of bothered trying to get this achievement and besides.. I didn't know there was an achievement for caring about your companions lol.
Honestly, I think I got that one on the first run-through by accident. I honestly loved just about every character (barring perhaps Zaeed due to being just 'press A to head a couple lines over and over' and generally being a dick, but even he redeemed himself in 3 to me) and did what I could to make sure they lived. But I was sad because
I love my crew due to not realizing I had to leave as soon as that'd happened. I likely would have lost someone if I had. It was sad... I really liked the crew. Even just hearing random crewmen talking made me happy and care about what they were going through. I still remember one talking about how his family was on a planet that was harvested, worrying about his family... then feeling relieved when they got out in time.

But it was weird... I did pretty much the same thing the second time and I did lose someone. I think it was due to the characters I chose to go with me and a few other aspects. The day I ordered ME3, I actually started a new playthrough of ME2. Why? Because I wanted to save everyone. I still remembered the story and could have just done the DLC. But I wanted everyone to be there... to see what impact they had in 3. And I'll be honest, it was worth it. 100%, without a doubt, worth it.

OT: I was happy with the 'save one bullet' achievement. On my first runthrough of Half-Life 2: Episode 1, I beat the game only firing a single bullet. Also proud of the fact I got every achievement in Halo 3 before the DLC was released. Some of those, like get 3 kills in a row on lone wolves, were incredibly hard. And I didn't achievement farm for them. But then the game made it much easier to get them by upping the number of people in LW (I think it was 5-6 when I got the achievement) and increased the number of playlist maps with swords (there was only one I believe when I did it, the one with the top level where the platform goes out to the sword).

Beat Nethack. If you don't know what Nethack is, check out their site, its pretty damn interesting.
http://nethack.org/

In case your wondering, it is possible to beat it, but you have to be extremely lucky, thus making it very wondrous when you do.

The Left 4 Dead achievement of "Survive all campaigns on expert" mode would be pretty damn impressive (unless of course you're a cheating bastard...)
this, except I would specify it be done in single player because the bots have no concept of closet camping

...wat? That was just insane. I'm a so very impressed by that and by the fact that players put so much time and effort into finding ingenious ways of doing levels that quickly. Damn!

For me, I'd say something like "Impossible Boy" from Super Meat Boy. That is, beating the Cotton Alley levels(the ones where you play as bandage girl), without dying. That or just 100%-ing the game. I've neither and don't think I ever will, just because the time and especially patience required to do either of those.

I am extremely impressed when people jump out of flying vehicles, kill someone at the last second and defend the place for a few minutes until their team comes. Sadly I wasn't as impressed that I was in the Falcon he ditched and ended up falling off the edge.

In no particular order.

Demon's Souls and/or Dark Souls Platinum Trophies.
FFX "No Sphere Grid" run.
FFVII "No Materia" run.
Vagrant Story title: "Ruler of the Fallen City."
Metal Gear Solid "Big Boss" title.
Beating Battletoads or Contra legitimately. (No level warps or cheat codes)

I have not done any of these because I'm not good (or crazy) enough to even try.

I just saw a Terran player win an SC2 game against a Zerg player that had map control, many more units, much stronger units, and was destroying everything in sight... But the Terran player won because he destroyed the last structure the Zerg player had xD

Even the commentators were "wait... WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!?!"
What match was that? I'd love to see that one. :D ~Watches SC2 games~

One that was a ***** was Halo Reach's 'If they came to hear me beg'.
My god. That was such a glitchy achievement.

In terms of actually accomplishing something other than jumping off a cliff, welllll.. I beat ME2 first time without losing anyone, since I knew who should do what because it made sense with their character.
Getting a significant way into Dark Souls! (Got to Giant Blacksmith) That alone, because it means I'm a glutton for punishment.. and stubborn. Such a fun game.
I beat ME3 in one weekend. Over 30 hours of gameplay.

Halo Reach: A Monument to All Your Sins

Damn, this one took me a lot of heartache and time. Out of all my friends I am proud to say I'm the only idiot who wasted his time.
I have that :D
After getting it, I played Halo CE on legendary for shits and giggles. That achievement was one of the more frustrating Halo achievements, especially on the parts where you'd have to kill a bunch of elites and your DMR ran out... Ugh...
Yeah, and the copious amounts of Assault Rifles that do next to nothing in whittling down enemy shields.
*start lvl*
"Ok, what weapons do I have... An assault rifle with a lot of ammo, and a grenade launcher, sweet! ...with 3 shots in it..."
Assault Rifle is only good in normal really. Heroic/Legendary, all it does is tickle the shields of Elites. Hell, it takes half a clip to kill grunts even >.>
Yep, funny enough in story, the DMR and AR use the same ammuntion type and caliber. Imagine an AR with the DMR's stopping power. It'd be a real help on Legendary!

Actually, I found this to be pretty much the easiest achievements of all those included in Mass Effect 2 (except for stuff like "Imported an old savegame"). All you need to do for it is play the loyalty missions and decide logically when assigning the jobs during the last missions. Hardly a challenge, sorry.

Resident Evil 4 on pro without any recorded deaths, on PC with the hellish PC controls.
While playing C&C 3 Kane's Wrath online 2v2 my m8 got killed pretty fast so I thought fuck it made an extra MCV put stealth on it (I was NOD)and sneaked it behind one of my enemies bases, my base got destroyed but my stealthed MCV just sat there and I was in game both opponents were furious and after a while gave up, game over I win.
In TF2 I got 23 kills as a sniper within one life.

It was during game 2 between Polt and Violet at the Lone Star Clash. Polt is a ridiculously good Terran player. Why? Because he can beat Stephano, and give Stephano pause =|

Lol, I got that achievement three times because of all the bloody times it just "NOPE CHUCK TESTA"d me. It was still fun though.
