Turtleing is a common phrase for an very defensive play style. In RTS games it pretty much means focusing on base building, defenses, and just amassing toops until you are ready for a big assault or you just let the enemy come to you and slowly wear them down.Shovel said:Most of you who mentioned RTS mentioned turtling, not being an RTS player, what is this?

So yea, turtleing is pretty much playing nothing but defense for a good portion of the match. It's like having your enemy constantly punching a wall or something, and eventually he's gonna get tired and you got the advantage.
