My first games were adventure/platform games(I'm not sure if that is the correct term) like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. I was around 7 years when I played those. Around the time when I was 10 I got an intrest in Final Fantasy after playing it at a friends house. For the next couple of years it was pretty much all I played.

At age 14 however all the cool kids were playing Counter-strike, and since I'm cool I joined them. Played the damn game all the time... At age 16 I joined the MMO world with WoW!

I totally grew up with my RPGs.

Now, are we talking about the first game I ever played, or the first console RPG I ever played? If it's the first, beats me, that was over 30 years ago (SHUT UP). If it's the latter, it's Phantasy Star 1. Blew away the first Final Fantasy...hell, blew away the second and third, too.

I had a SNES as a kid, so it was a mix of platformers(Super Metroid was the best) and a few RPGs.
I also have fond/tramatic memorys of Sysytem Shock 2.

The first game I ever played was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on the PlayStation. I mostly grew up with third-person platformers, like Ratchet and Clank, but my uncle played a lot of FPS games, so I was into those, too.

Platformers even today are my favourite kind of games.

I started with the SNES with games like super mario all stars. There were a few others but I was too young to remember all of them. Since I only really remember SMAS I assume that was my favourite.

But when I had an N64 I was really getting into it. Banjo Kazooie, Ocarina of time and DK64 were my favourites. If I had super mario 64, I would probably have liked that game too.

Command & Conquer. I don't mean RTS. I barely played any other RTS. No, i mean every single C&C Westwood ever released. from C&C1 to Renegade (f%&k that game for being the vanguard of westwood's demise) I did literally grew up with GDI and the Allies; Nod and the Soviets.

After they killed Westwood, I boycotted EA games for 3 years. And i came this close to punching my best friend in the face when he told me he liked Red Alert 3. As if that racist, sexist, humorless garbage can be "liked".
Too bad Petroglyph's games didn't turn out that good.
This, I was and still am an avid C&C fan, Red Alert 2 being my favorite of the series. Never really played Renegade but I point blank refused to play Generals for the longest time. But I was brought around to it by my friends and had quite a bit of fun playing LAN with it.

What did you think of C&C 3? Personally I was wary at first but I found it to be a fairly decent game. Not a scratch on the originals though.

My first console was a NES. My first games were the first three classic, sidescrolling Mario games. And Duck Hunt.

So yeah, I think I had a good gaming upbringing.

I remember having an old black and white Pong style console (that's about all it did), followed by Combat and Air Sea Battle on the Atari VCS.

Aside from Pokemon, which doesn't really count, I feel, my first real game was Ocarina of Time. Or maybe Spyro, Enter the Dragonfly. I got them both for my six or seventh Christmas, and started them at the same time.

I first played on the Binatone TV master in 1976, & then Space Invaders when they got a machine in the coffee bar upstairs at my local swimming pool about a year or so later.

The Binatone came with a light gun to shoot targets on the screen, but it never worked.

Was it one of these?
