I saw the 2 pilot episodes of ZP and found out there is more Yahtzee on the Escapist. I just watched ZP without an account but I saw that you people are cool, so I signed up.

I came for the Yahtzee, I stay for the interesting conversation. I have a feeling I'm going to get banned, though.

I'm going to be different and say that the refreshing blue and white layout of the site conjured a deep sense of belonging within me.

That however, would be lying.
It was Yahtzee.

Came for Yahtzee, stayed for the forum and out of boredom (lol, rhymes), briefly though of leaving because of the trolls and elitists.

Ironically, back then there were less trolls and more elitists, but now it's the other way round.

Zero Punctuation was funny. That was about it. Oh and the reviews were generally pretty good as well. As for the "featured" articles exploring about gaming as a medium..... eh, not terribly interesting.

But yes, like 80% of the new(ish) people on the forums, ZP was the initial hook. The rest is pretty alright, but I still have the Zero Punctuation page as the bookmark, instead of the front page of The Escapist.

Like nearly every one else, Zero Punctuation for the first question, the forums and extreme boredom for the second.

Well, let's see. First, I saw ZP on X-Play, which led me to the site, then I started reading Endo's articles (so sad he's left us), then I started lurking in the forums for a few months, reading everything you retards produced. Finally, the insanity of the forums crept so far into my brain, the only was to release was to sign up and release it back into the wild.

Zero punctuation like just about everybody else. After lurking the forums for a while (I started late in 2007) I finally decided to join.

I found it via a google search, and stayed because it was blue, easy on the eye plus the community rocked.

I was introduced to the Escapist when the osu! chatroom was buzzing with things about TWEWY (Seriously, they WORSHIP that game over there) Someone posted the ZP of TWEWY, and I loved it. I watched more, and I thought it was excellent. I found the forums just by mucking around, mostly. Then I found a topic about games that everyone else loves and you hate, and honestly, I would never pass up a chance to bash Ico. So I signed up, posted somethin' about Ico, and here I am, taking looooong hiatuses and just assuming no one notices me. I stayed, mostly because of the pretty cool community. So many people here are well-spoken, and even the ones who don't have the best grammar usually have something intelligent and witty to say.

As I have said before, ZP brought me here first but I stayed for the forums.
I'm also staying for UR and Apocolypse Lane.
