Valve said it was due out this summer, free to everyone, but thus far all we've seen is DLC that's bundled with a third party motion controller. I haven't heard anything about it since the first announcement, has anyone else?

Ahem, all together now:

ITS VALVE. Seriously, expecting them to release things on time is like expecting the sky to rain steak sandwiches. In an ideal world, it'd happen every day, but in our flawed existence such dreams only serve to remind us of its failures.

Pretty much this.

Though, it's Valve's "thing", it still remains an increasingly annoying "thing". I just want it sometime in August.

Oh and INB4 Half Life 2 Episode 3 posts...as is every post involving Valve...

You mean the sky doesn't rain steak sandwiches where you are?

Joking aside, I guess I was hoping that maybe I had missed an update on when it was coming out or that it had been pushed back. Oh well, guess I will continue to wait and feed my need to test with player made levels.

If it rained steak sandwiches Gabe could eat those instead of the yet-to-be-released games and gamers' tears.

OT: Yeah... It's ValvE man, what do you expect?

Lol, Valve releasing things on time. Hahaha. Oh wait, you were serious. Hahahahahaha! Valve misses their own due dates more often than makes them. A lot of developers do this, but Valve seems to be either afraid of it or thinks that because of Half-Life 2, that their highness is free to move at their own pace, lest they appease us peasants. Perhaps you remember The Orange Box? Team Fortress 2? Black Mesa, which isn't even out yet? How about the Half-Life 2: Episode Three that they refuse to develop?

Black Mesa isn't VALVe, it's a fanmade project, with the developers working around real-life obligations. That's why it isn't released yet.

It's Valve. Releasing anything on time is not what they're known for.

But you know their delays will make it all the better.

SOMEONE! LINK HIM THE VALVE TIME CHART PLEASE!
Yeah, I am serious - valve can BE as late as they like, their games are usually worth it so you know - we can be patient and wait. It's not even the end of summer just yet.

Black Mesa's going to take longer than Duke Nukem Forever at this rate. I expect it to be released about a year after Episode Four.
