Prior to the patch in Gears of War 2 where they put bots into the game a buddy of mine had our entire team quit on us. We were always pretty good but still we were up against another team of 5 people. We somehow managed to win two rounds in a row 2 vs. 5 before they all quit giving us the win. It was awesome to legitimately make another team quit when the odds are clearly in their favor. I still can't think of another time that beats that!

I will get a chance to earn some money for myself when I get a job when I'm 16, so I can buy better stuff :)
Well earning money is generally a good thing :p - and don't be ashamed to work for some fast-food joint...
yeah, as long as I get paid it's all good.
Definitely! Money is generally a good thing.

True true true - When it first came out. Dark Crusade balanced it out nicely until Soulstorm came by and screwed it up.

With the challenge of the gods, I was doing fine until the last one.
Soulstorm... was... just a wreck of a game - a total disaster.
I know. And I dig the Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar.
But you know what bothered me the most?
The fact that in the regular campaign I would always be fighting the same armies on the same battlefields. I went through Dark Crusade with every army and it was a little different every time. I went through 2 of the Soulstorm campaigns and they were pretty much the same.
To me, it was the Air units that made it blisteringly easy...

Hehehe - there are house rules against me whenever I play Brawl :p
I'm not allowed to play as Samus in that game, against most of my friends.

Actually, for years, nobody could beat me as Samus. I even won 2v1s. Last year, I encountered someone who could actually win... and I lost. That's actually my most shameful moment in gaming. I know it's pathetic but I am phenomenally competitive, and my glory had been unquestioned until that moment. Put me in a really bad mood all day - you know the kind you pretend you're not in but everyone can totally tell.... one of them.
Hehehe - believe it or not, I'm not allowed to play WARIO of all people.

One of mine was playing Point Of Existence 2 (mod for Battlefield 2).
I can't remember the name of the map but it was in a forested area and my squad were assaulting a hut and getting massacred. I spawned in, managed to sneak around the side and take out a couple of people on MGs then managed to sneak into the hut without being noticed and capture the base. None of my squad noticed me doing this and I wasn't on mic so couldn't tell them. They were on mic saying "What the hell, how did we get it?!" Then I just stood up and looked out of the window at them. Their reactions cheered me up because I was in a horrible mood that day.

There have been a few similar times (almost all on Battlefield games) but that is the most memorable for me.
Doing any kind of super-sneaky commando-capture is always fun, regardless of the game... Spy-caps in TF2 especially.
My love for spy-caps rivals my love for good bacon. Dustbowl stage 3 is the most hilarious for this. A match that usually takes about 15 minutes can be ended in 30 seconds. :D
Is it just me, or is Dustbowl a LOT more fun with re-spawn timers On?

Sadly I never got the chance to do EP 1 achievements BECAUSE they don't exist on Steam.
They do now... That's what I got it from. That's where I got the achievement... You saying you have it on Steam then? Check.
*checks*

OH MY GOD THEY ADDED THE ACHIEVEMENTS ON STEAM?!

I DID NOT KNOW THAT - I LOVE YOU!!! *Glomps you*

Yes. Except replace dustbowl with "Every map, ever".

Cept 2fort, but that's just for the silly.

Oh, that reminds me of when I entered a smash bros tournament in a college society, because I thought I'd easily win. I got knocked out in the second round. I was pissed...

Or when my brother first beat me in Call of Duty.
Now he beats me every other game...
And I used to be absolutely king with knightmare in soul calibur and he beats me more often than not at that too.

[small]I still have F-zero, they can't take that away...[/small]

Wario, really? Heh, well done on that! My favourite's Toon link or Marth.
Down+a and Down+b respectively can be devastating!

First thing I did when they let you omit maps based on server tags was to make it automatically reject every map with 'spawntimes' as a tag.

"No respawn time, making it impossible for red team to lose dustbowl/goldrush/badwater/etc since 1712!"

That and maxplayers. TF2 was not designed for 32 players per map in mind. I understand the theory that 'more chaos' = fun, but it really, really doesn't. It just means 'oh, I walked out of spawn, into a hundred explosions. Good thing I love the spawn room so much!'

Oh, I agree completely. I actually want to reach through the screen and punch someone when they complain about respawn times. There's no highs and lows if it's just constant chaos either!

I actually prefer games with less than 20 players. But then I'm a career scout, it's way easier for me that way. :p

My proudest moment in gaming...hmmm.

Tabletop gaming. D&D 4E. My character follows Bahamut, a Good god of dragons who despises evil dragons. Party runs into a Black Dragon. We are lowish level, about 4-7 give or take. I'm a Fighter, and my title is 'The Dragonsmiter,' so I'm all gung-ho about fighting this dragon. We all expect to die horribly. The module is written so that when the dragon gets to half health she flies off and we have to hunt her down. My fighter blitzes in and starts levying all sorts of knockdown attacks that leave the poor dragon starting every round prone and marked, so that if she tries to fly away I can stop her movement cold with an interrupt attack. I maintained enough battlefield control and kept the dragon focused on me and not going anywhere, so when she reached half-health...she couldn't flee because I had her locked down. We ended up killing the dragon far earlier than the module intended, so the DM gave us a second dragon to fight later on. It was pretty epic for characters that 'low' on the bracket, and left me feeling quite euphoric afterward.

Best video gaming moment...would have to be Star Craft 2. Out-rushing a Zerg player using Marines was the best feeling ever, after spending most of a decade in Star Craft being annihilated by those Zerg rushes.

Warhammer 40k: a 1000pts game on a small board. Turn 2.

The Emperor's Champion charges headlong into the center of my opponent's Imperial Guard army. He manages to get into combat with their command squad. He challenges the Commissar to single combat, defeats him, and my opponent's entire army (minus one Demolisher, iirc) turns and flees off the board.
Epic.

TF2-wise: my 20 minute, 66 kill streak in the ctf_Turbine vents skews my statistics nicely.

If you're thinking of the level I'm thinking of - that had me spewing with hair-pulling rage :p
Ive completed this twice, no fighting in the war room twice and cod 3 on veteran. The second time was for a friend. I found it easier the second time to let you know.

i see a fellow TF2 veteran so il give you some cool things ive done.

15 headshots in a life, a quadrokill with demo about 5 mins ago and a triple backstab of a sniper a scout and a demoman all pushing the cart. Headshotting an invisible spy for first blood, he blocked my shot.

The 'Search' feature revealed to me curiously that there has been a topic like this once (and ONLY once) per year for the past several... so I figured, why break tradition?

What has been your Proudest moment in Gaming so-far?

Spill the beans!

(Personally - mine was the first time I beat another human being in a Starcraft 2 multiplayer battle. Not much to write home about, but I'm horrible at RTS against real people - so it was a big step forward for me!)

(As a runner up - seeing myself drawn as the Spy was also awesome. [http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/151/9/9/Gentlemen______by_Blazbaros.png])
There's many that i could brag about but i prefer looking forward to the next challenge.
Well there's nothing wrong with that either - but you know as well as I do that there's something milling around in your brain you know you enjoyed most.
Not really. The only thing that would qualify would be the time I "issun"ed and oneshot the first boss of Onimusha Warlord but then again, it was mostly luck.

FYI: Issun is the name of a special move in the game. When the enemy is about to hit you and you attack, you will do a hit that does basically enough damage to kill any foes. You can even kill the final boss in three hit. The problem is you need impeccable timing otherwise you get hit.

Destroying a copy of Dirge of Cerberus with a 10 gauge shotgun.
There are some achievements that need no gamer points to be good.

That's several kinds of wonderful my friend =D

My proudest achievement on TF2 today was sticky-jumping over the trains at the start of CP_Well, colliding with an enemy Demoman as he did the Exact same thing, except I was wielding the Scull-cutter =D - lopped his head off in mid-flight.
